Requiem- LANDMVRKS
This is probably my stand-out track of the week. I haven't got to this album yet (it's on my list) but i love LANDMVRKS guitar tone. This one is pissed off but in a sad way, evil but in a Gothic way. Oncemore, it kind of reminds me of Gojira.

Around the Fur - Deftones
Another classic Deftones track that I never particularly loved as much as everyone else. But I gave it another listen and yeah it's good. Brooding and angry, it really defines its albums namesake.

5150 - Ice Cube
I sort of washed over this album when it came out, but I'm thinking it might be better than I thought. In hindsight, songs (like 5150) have been caught in my head for a while. This is tacky, rude, west coast gangsta rap and its pretty good at that, considering Cubes age.

BLACK FLAG FREESTYLE - Denzel Curry, That Mexican OT
I am a new fan of Denzel Curry but man I really like his flows. It's the kinda stuff where you just gotta sit back and listen to the verses and bob your head. This is music you play outside on the stereo with your boys.

That Choice - Fox Stevenson
For me, Fox Stevenson is at the forefront of catchy DnB EDM style music. This is a recent release, and the production elements paired with the vocals are just very, very fun. He somehow always finds a way to shock me.

Tear Away - Drowning Pool
I'd listened to a lot of Drowning Pool on Friday, simply because it was just what came on. I like what I hear a lot. The wah heavy riffs and nu metal grooves are instant crack to me. I simply like this genre far too much.

Sacred Place - Orthodox
Dumb. Guitar. Sounds. This song demanded I immediately picked up my guitar and try and recreate that opening riff. This is one of my favorite things about heavy music. Always pushing the forefront of what ridiculous noise we can turn into some nefarious melody.

Entomed - Deftones
An immediate classic to anyone, but it's legacy left me underwhelmed when I first listened to Koi No Yokan. After giving it time and another listen, yeah this is a fantastic Deftones song. The chorus is so insanely catchy and beautiful. I just like my chugs and 'Rosemary' 🤫

Neo Paris - Rise of the Northstar
ROTNS engages once again in ridiculous heavy metal antics while still carrying the speed and intensity you'll break your neck to. ROTNS asks you to embrace the unruly and this track is no different. That "NEO PARIS" breakdown at the end is my favorite part.

I've gone my entire life reaping the consequences of speaking in long sentences with specific diction. I like to chose what i say carefully and speak accurately, which some people misinterpret as me being a hard-ass.
The last thing I need is to create a culture that makes this even worse

Personal favorite of theirs is the obvious track 'Cave In' which somehow straddles the line perfectly between groovy riffage, cathartic rage, and an almost "evil" soundscape very reminiscent to me of Gojira.
But it was their latest track 'Sacred Place' that proved them to me as mainstays

Not only that, but also for this song in particular as well.
The end is so perfectly tee'd up for them to do this

I didn't even know they had combat drones capable of launching missiles already.

Aww Shit - Bone Thugs-N-Harmony
Them bone boys is back! Them bome boys is back! I've been moderately into BTNH for years now but man does it feel good that they're all together again. I love their sound and raps a lot. This song is classic West Coast unruly bullshit. Play it on big speakers.

STALKER - SXMPRA, Ramirez
SXMPRA is 10× better than his limelight tracks make him out to be, in my opinion. This past year or so he has been slamming out on beats that are almost scary either sonically or compositionally. It's a kind of rap that hits so hard but is also lowkey kinda evil.

Memories - Fox Stevenson
Fox Stevenson was one of the first artist I remember passionately being a fan of. As far back as 2017. He's evolved so gracefully in the near decade. His singing is amazing are I adore his D&B/rock fusion. One of few producers I really want to see live.

Moonlight - THEY.
THEY. had the 2nd anniversary for their album Nü Moon not too long ago, and this was one of the standout tracks. Succulent, vibey, and romantic. THEY. Really captures sweet, intimate emotion on this track, or rather, the album as a whole.

El Cu Cuy - Coal Chamber
My favorite song of this week without a doubt. Fat groovy riffs and whiney verses. This is what nu metal is all about. Definitely will be looking more into Coal Chamber in the future

IGYEIH - Linkin Park
I always knew she impressed me, but Emily has really grown on me as the main vocalist in new Linkin Park. He screams are actually catastrophically powerful and on songs like this she is just slinging fries with reckless abandon. It is totally awesome, feels like Hybrid Theory

I'm sure you've spoken about this some where already but I have to ask, what's your favorite Kendrick Lamar project?
For me, it's Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. You don't see stuff that brutally vulnerable from mainstream artists. I like Kendrick because he makes music that makes you feel *seen*
