I feel like you could do something fun like "what if someone in the period wanted to dress this way with what was available even though they'd look absurd by the standards of their time"

Are there any f/f ones that you'd recommend?

It looks like those have 600 mg which is still a lot less than the 1000 mg in LMNT but that should be good for normal hydration. I will say buoy had a really good refund policy so it's probably low risk to try.

If stevia is okay you could try LMNT. I find the citrus flavors okay for cold drinks, especially orange. The hot chocolate gets me through winter. I have never tried the unflavored but I assume it's basically just finely ground salt

I tried buoy and it didn't work for me at all because it has basically no salt, but I'm solving for POTS so it may be a different need. The buoy salt is like drinking ocean water and it's foul but the regular drops are fine. They just gave me nothing.

Is salt the main electrolyte you need, or just hydration more generally?

Thank you!! I still need to learn how to get all the stains out of it so I can wear it again lol

Yes! I remember posting progress back on Twitter but I left everyone hanging lol. I think it took a couple years in total.

Thank you! Auburn Ghost Photo always produces such dreamy images.

I keep a written inventory with visual description, yardage, fiber content, and whether it's been washed. But for physical storage it's honestly just "whatever bin it fits into" 😅. I've got four bins and three are clear so I haven't had too much trouble yet finding anything.

That said I might as well share a few photos that Auburn Ghost Photo (IG) took of my Plain Bad Heroines 1901 ensemble that I made entirely from period accurate patterns down to the corset and undergarments. Idk if I ever really shared them. I learned so many great techniques working on this!

Something I especially try to do now is to find cosplays that I actually want to wear as wardrobe or that scratch some other itch like skills I want to learn so that even if I never take a single photo I will feel like I gained something from the experience.

I'm listening to the first audiobook now! The library wait was months. I'm enjoying it so far. Seeing your enthusiasm makes me more excited for the rest of the series too.

I'm mostly doing Fitness Marshall sessions and playlists on YouTube in case anyone is wondering. I like positive energy and appreciate them having multiple levels of a lot of the choreo so I can do what I'm up for. It goes by so much faster than walking on the treadmill.

But also it's really frustrating to do when you feel exhausted a lot of the time. As I get older it's often a chore. But I try to treasure it because I know how quickly I can fall apart. I can't do everything I used to but at least I can do something. Dancing has been really good this winter. 2/2

That account is giving bot... I blocked because even if that's not accurate it's weird invasive behavior to repost that stuff

Yes, especially a very specific kind of Southern private school rich folks... truly WL nailed it. I feel like I've met that family and I hate it.

I'm from Chapel Hill and my mom's a UNC alum so I am also UNC aligned. I will never not internally boo Duke and that's just something I have to live with. It was not socially acceptable to not have an alignment lol
comment in response to

I think maybe it's the line where the mom whispers "Tar Heels" in the discussion about attending Duke that has people confused because tbh I couldn't even really explain what a Tar Heel is other than "UNC mascot NC nickname thing."
comment in response to

I had assumed so?? But unless I'm seeing troll takes, I guess not. And the family being a Duke family is a pretty powerful signifier if you know Triangle culture. It's no mistake that the daughter is UNC and the men are Duke and the youngest son is caught in the middle choosing.

I do not care about sports but we were basically assigned teams at birth around there. Something I appreciate about Pittsburgh is the sports community unity.

The takes have been so exhausting. I'm so glad to see people doing the work of educating the public but the levels of ignorance and romanticization of labor just wear you down.

every time i see stuff like that it reminds me of what has become one of my favorite performance art collections; where people dip their fingers in paint while sewing so every touch is visible on the finished garment www.humantouchclothing.com/about/

Exactly, it did come off in one of the runs and after that we used more pins than I've ever used in my entire life. It was really just wig grip, pulling it on tight, and pinning for dear life. Never been happier to remove a wig than after that! A lot of the choreo was planned to minimize risk too

Good to know!! I've enjoyed seeing the cosplays but wasn't sure if it was worth my time to watch. Adding it to the list!
