"Trump increasingly represents everything people of goodwill oppose."
His actions are troubling in so many ways it is difficult to encapsulate it all without employing excess and hyperbole. This phrase does so simply and eloquently, than you.

In his mind, each country is a business company and their industries are subsidiaries under their control. (And each president is the owner-CEO of the country.) He thinks he can control them by manipulating any given country and its industries against each other.

Obama has more class than to do it but considering the blue suit worn at the papal funeral, I'd love to see him wear a tan suit to Trump's.

It is inevitable problems would arise from allowing any group within law enforcement to not wear actual uniforms - just a general dress code with a vest labeled for an agency - and masked to conceal their identity.

ALT text: A clip from Monty Python’s sketch "The Bishop." Accompanied by several tough looking sunglasses wearing priests, a cigarette smoking Cardinal walks boldly on a city sidewalk deliberately bumping into passersby.

Not just the frequency but the sheer effortlessness with which people like Hawley lie is discouraging for those who hope people would hold themselves to higher standards.
