Just read Absolute Batman #5, and I think this might be my favorite issue thus far. It’s action-packed to the brim, showcasing the savagery of the Absolute Batman. It’s also vulnerable and heartbreaking at the same time, watching Bruce stand up to the system! Beautiful.

Was hyped for Green Arrow #18 based on word of mouth and it delivered! I love the voice that Chris Condon gives to Ollie & his leftist ideology. Immediately a fan Adriano Lucas’s colors and Montos’ art makes this one of the prettiest comics. The premise feels very timely 😭

Finally found the time to read Jason Aaron and Rafa Sandoval’s Absolute Superman #1 and it’s easily my favorite debut issue of the Absolute line. I love the theme of classism and gentrification that Aaron infuses. It makes the signing Champion of the Underdog more true.

I don’t normally watch horror as I am a gigantic pussy. Smile 2 blew me away. The thrills and sense of despair was a rollercoaster ride! Naomi Scott is so strong as the lead, showing off fear, sincerity, and a desperation. She needs to BLOW UP ASAP. Parker Finn’s ability to world build is amazing.

One thing that I appreciate about Absolute Batman is how badass and cheesy it is. Only in comics can you find Batman burning a building to match his cowl and a 20 foot dump truck as a car lol. Really embracing the classic cheesy element of superheroes in a modern way

We are in for all-timer. Finally read Absolute Batman #2! It’s even better than the first issue. Love the character work of Bruce and the classic rogues. I love that they are a big friend group. You get hints of who they are going to be in the future. The art is raw and powerful

Finally found time to read Black Lightning. I throughly enjoyed it. A great introductory to who Jefferson Pierce is as a father and Black Lightning. Brandon Thomas does a great job of highlighting his and the family’s importance in the DCU. Fico Ossio’s art is stunning.

Aquaman Preview Thread #1! Jeremy Adams is my GOAT I am loving John Timms' art! I wasn't a fan of his when he drew Jon Kent, but I love the kinetic energy he gives to Arthur and his hydrokinesis. The way Arthur is drawn feels so powerful! The colors by Rex Lokus looks excellent!
