Me: Why serve thin gruel?
Innkeep NPC: Donāt u know thereās a war on?
Me: Why are beds filthy?
Donāt u know thereās a war on?
My hireling:finds āBilbo larderā in cellar. Innkeep: shoots him

My fave ābad actingā story - probably bs - but funny nonetheless is of a supposed stage production of āThe Diary of Anne Frankā. The girl in the titular role was supposedly so bad that when the Nazis turned up, someone in the audience shouted: āSheās in the attic !ā

Venn diagram connecting #DeltaGreen - through Caleb Stokes - and #RedMarkets (also on Drivethru) āa game of economic Horrorā which has quite a definitive view of capitalism. To name just one more example.

āSimon and Garfunkel reflect on decades in the music biz; their often fractured, tempestuous relationship and their forthcoming, long awaited new album, deeply rooted in the rhythms, cadences and fortifying nutritional snacks of North-Western Englandās heritage of improvised story-gaming with diceā.

A very good adaptation of the book I thought; sticks close to the material but not slavishly so and confident enough to make some tweaks here or there

Ex-smoker here. Gave up maybe 25 years or more ago, but still get random moments of craving. Sometimes I catch a whiff of someone elseās cigarette smoke and it seems pretty wonderful. Double that if itās cigar smoke or pipe-smoke which I associate with my late Dad and grandfather respectivelyā¦

Am taking the optimistic view and seeing it as a sign that the troops involved did not want to be there.
Am pretty sure that American troops can drill like the best of them; in fact I saw some of them do so at the Edinburgh Tattoo.

My wife lived in a graduate shared flat below his place at Roundhay back in the late nineties. Interacted with him frequently, no red flags - so I guess he was in ādonāt shit on your own doorstepā mode in that neck of the woods.
Retrospectively, now a very creepy notion of course.
