I wish I had a magic wand to fix this. :(

Thank you, my friend. I don't have the energy or time for managing hives, but I'll give em as many flowers as I can. :)

Sorry! Virginia City, NV, has had the world outhouse races for over 35 years. :)

Ha. We have a small pond in our backyard, put in for the dogs. Originally it was 2 ponds with a river in-between, but too much maintenance! So we cut it back to the one, but hadn't built it right, so last summer we tore it all out and redid it. Here's how it looks now. :) Will look up oldbones, ty!

Thank you for sharing, and for your perspective on "subtle" drone use. ;) I absolutely agree.

In general, cold doesn't bother me much (so long as I know I can get warm eventually. Ha) and I so very much prefer Tahoe without all the people on it! It's magical. :) Thanks for the kind words!

Thank you, kkranyak. Yes, I think you know very well how this feels, judging by your profile here. :) Never gets any easier, and yet we just keep on bringing them home to share our lives.

Thank you, yes! As Tahoe so often is. :)

You and me both, my friend - to all of it. :) I'm hoping he's playing with Lucaya, Dante, and Britley! I have to believe it's true - hurts my heart too much to think that energy just stops.

Thank you for that. ❤️

My bird book says glaucidium gnoma. And, interestingly, for size it says +sparrow. :)

Damn, that's kinda frustrating on such an art-centric site. I'm sorry. :(

Fyi. :( I presume this is not you under a different name.

I think it's a bit larger than a sparrow, maybe more like an American robin. But from a distance, small and brown, my brain immediately thought sparrow. :) Here's the pic showing what I saw at first, and thought it was looking at me! Isn't that amazing camouflage?

Yes, this is the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. Near Markleeville, CA (for easier finding on a map). :)

They are adorable! Thanks, Anna. :) Nature is amazing.

They sure are, and thanks, Anna. I always feel like days like those are gifts from the universe. :)

Funny part, I was shooting and telling my husband, "It's looking right at me!" And then I gasped as its head spun around to REALLY look at me! They have amazing camouflage on the back of their head, to mimic two large eyes.
