A couple of these are far too permeated by a race character to be salvaged with scissors for commercial TV, and others were hackable enough for showbiz.
McCabe came back and directed an episode of Animaniacs that I liked in the original run of the series.

It's an odd viewing experience. They first show a pretty decent black and white copy. Then they'll show the horrific J.H. Song traced color version, and then there'll be a computer colored one that's "eh, better" by comparison. Some of them have four versions! Differently cut, too.

Makes me think of this wonderful thing by PDQ Bach (the late Professor Pete, Bass) where writing a joke made a brand new combination of sounds that light me up.
There's a minute of slooooow introduction, and then it cuts loose. There's a vid with just the first track, but here's all of it.

Here's where I'm at, presently. Several here I hadn't seen, and I'm def enjoying seeing 'new' WB black and whites.

I can't explain it, but I listened to "I'm My Own Grandpa" yesterday while mowing the lawn, so I do sort of feel it.

I took care of a friend's Sun Conure for a few days, and there's nothing in the world quite like having a bird fly over and land on your finger. Everyone should get to experience it one time.

This sounds way too true.

They probably also believe that the crimes DFT is committing openly are the only crimes he's committing.

For a short time, I had a Reader View app on my phone that worked. Somebody must have found out about it, because they 'fixed' that oversight.

Yes, I have hit 'Remind me in 3 days' repeated times to some prompts. I do think every site or should be compelled to have an option 'No, I do not want this and do not ask me ever again', a response I have seen in some human-to-human interactions, perhaps harsh but better in the long run.

And Marvin has strong echoes of Joe, the transparent egomaniac in The Proud Robot and others, who always insisted he was too good to be working for humans.

I said here yesterday that A.I. on the Flintstones would be if the bird-appliances talked directly to the consumer instead of to the audience.

Wayne "Trapper John" Rogers still gets a recurring gig in my head, where he alternates (with William Hopper) as my ideal Archie Goodwin when I read Nero Wolfe stories.

From Arts & Crafts patterns to medieval archaeology.
These biscuits recreate stained glass fragments found a few years ago in the triforium of Westminster Abbey.

After all, how many of the 10 Commandments are there to enforce brand loyalty? Thou shalt buy only the genuine GOD brand product!

Like not being obliged to talk to everyone who looks at you results in better quality interactions.

Everyone I've encountered (outside Italy, but maybe we were just there longer) expresses plain joy for my efforts to communicate. My Spanish pronunciation, at least, is good, and has resulted in two-way understandings (plural!). I'm always hesitant, but they're always nice, and I've never regretted.

(Drawn as tourists or as a helmeted Uncle Sam, but always with the largesse, which came in the form of foreign aid and defense stuff.)

My theory of why the French liked Jerry Lewis so much was simply that they saw him as the average American, well intended but yikes.
I have a little 1952 yearbook from Denmark, and in some of the data pix, they show an 'American' in Hawaiian shirt and shades, cheerfully tossing money around.

The idea has some merit, but I do not like that Target would get money for it.

They used to bust Louis Armstrong for pot from time to time. (He had a rep for always having the worst stuff.) As far as I know, they stopped doing it after Reagan gave him a freedom medal, but I could be mistaken.

I had cocoa in Venice about 20 years ago that was very dark and so thick it was the missing link between beverages and pudding, and I should try to match that again. I didn't do too bad on my first attempt.
