Catholic have the USCCB ERDs built-in though inconsistently applied. lay staff are part of the"ministry". Catholic "respect for life" dogma undermines patient autonomy, imo. So- I'd go Baptist. Mergers are making this more complicated. but Public merged with religious can be sued for care sometimes.

Add their movements in recent years to push women out of ministry & leadership roles and their refusal to acknowledge abuse... an SBC doubling down on racism, misogyny. For comparison, Jimmy Carter was a Southern Baptist. He left in the SBC in 2000.

The porn thing's hard to explain but important re gender in SBC. one who looks w/ lust in his heart's committed adultery & if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. Men think they're porn addicts but r obsessing over natural desires & end up hating objects of their desire. See GA parlor shooting.

Their stance on IVF is very new and, like abortion in the 70s, is borrowed from the catholics by political groups looking to mobilize and consolidate the christian vote. ideas on what was Pornography evolved w/ 90s purity culture. Gay marriage is more of a political signalling thing. It's news.

Such an important take away! “It’s surprising how few of these are accidents,” Dr. Faust said. “I always thought that a lot of pediatric mortality from guns is that somebody got into the wrong place, and I still think safe storage is important, but it’s mostly homicides and suicides.”

assisted reproductive technology. They'll both get over it when they find their lanes where there they can, at least maintain semblance of their morality, and make money. ie catholics will have embryo adoption and libertarian techbros can use the technology for eugenics and legacy purposes.

YES! I've felt this way for years. Annoys me every time I'm scrolling for a documentary to watch.
