I’ve seen this, but “bro” is merely an address whereas “GIRL” said in the right tone specifically means “Listen, I’m about to say something important”. It’s more along the lines of “Lo” or “Sing in me, muse”

All of the ones I have watched have been pretty good quality. I’m more concerned about the content of the lecture than how clear the picture is.

Currently watching The Celtic World by Jennifer Paxton, previously enjoyed Alexander and the Macedonian Empire by Kenneth Hale. Highly recommend both courses!

Midsommar is a beautiful story about a young woman finding a new family that kills everyone who was mean to her. Some of y'all weirdos think it's a horror movie".

I love returning a book early when there’s a hold for it. I wish they had the bandwidth or funding to have message boards based on the books you’ve borrowed.

Imagine a world where we don’t glorify men who beat their wives and children.

Similarly if you’re against Antifa you should say with your whole chest “I am against anti-fascism” and let people do the math.

Listening to books is just as valid as reading.

Listening to stories is very important and it's how we learned for most of human history. Listening to a book is a valid and acceptable way to enjoy a book. Listening is not reading.

We need a word like "enjoying" a book that covers both. I think people are getting in two different arguments here. It's literally not reading, but it IS an acceptable and valid way of enjoying a book.

Also when you read about a vast army in medieval Britain and it's like a hundred warriors and three hundred farmers with pikes.

The refrain of the Anglo Saxon poem Deor - þæs ofereode, þisses swa mæg - is something we all need to remember right now.
