Marshrutka minibuses tend to be smaller, quicker, cleaner than typical public buses. They can be pretty cheap too & drivers stop anywhere en route. Hwever, they can get so crowded that u may have to yell & clamber to get out. I'm lucky as this one is kind of empty! #travel #Ukraine

Minibuses (Marshrutkas) are a popular way to #travel in #Ukraine. This evening I'm in a marshrutka, travelling overnight from #Kramatorsk, #Donetsk, to #Kyiv, via #Dnipro. Sometimes #marshrutka drivers are wild, but our captain is calm which allows me to enjoy the beautiful #sunset #sky

Kramatorsk is on the eastern edge of de-occupied #Donetsk, located between two hills. 1000k kms vertically south of #Moscow, close to the border with #Luhansk, and targeted daily by aerial attacks, Kramatorsk feels very far from anywhere. #war

Amazing ceiling in this #Kharkiv #hotel. Beautiful to look up to. A dramatic #design and contrast in colour. Celebrations to the #architect, the whole hotel is a masterpiece. Plus, though not indestructible (nothing is to Russian #missiles), the #bricks make this a more #secure option in the city.
