I just realized that in the current Ultimate Spider-Man series, Ben Parker and J Jonah Jameson are Jack Kirby and Stan Lee. They look like them and they head a news agency that provides stories of Spider-Man. It’s a wonderful homage!

I didn’t realize that simmering I’ve never seen before could make me feel nostalgic, but then I started to watch Magic Knight Rayearth. It has the earnestness and charm of American 80s cartoons and the quality and gravitas of 90s anime. Plus we get Magical Girls and Mechs, the two genders. 🤌🤌
