I don't like that argument because The Simpsons, Ren and Stimpy, Doug, Rugrats, Animaniacs, Beavis and Butthead and Batman TAS all came out around the same time and look completely different.

Idk, Bluth is extremely varied, unless you're specifically talking about his humans. In that case I agree, funny animals are his strength. Im not a big fan of Ghibli's style either.

There's literally something called the Harkness Test that draws the line between zoo and just feral. It's just "Can it communicate/understand language? Can it consent? Is it of age for its species?" You hit 3/3 and then you're all good. Because then it's purely about body structure, nothing else.

I heard about Animalympics due to a certain animation Youtuber that shall not be named. But nah, these were before my time.

And no, I don't prefer quads over anthros like a certain user who blocked me thought. Im into TF, I think the idea of getting turned into a cartoon dog myself and getting fucked by another cartoon dog is hot. I think real zoophilia/beastiality is disgusting and I don't support it.

I see Cartoons more like "faeries" than real animals, just like people of old wrote stories about women fucking theromorphic gods. It's very surreal while lolicon is too grounded in reality (despite being stylized), Id only raise an eyebrow if they're fucking humans. Even then we have Brian Griffin.

This is something that always seemed weird about romances between humans and toons. It’s a common trope to see regular ladies hanging off weird little cartoon guys. But other than maybe Betty Boop, we rarely see the opposite.

This kinda stuff has been seen as people's furry awakening for a long time, including it being normal for people to have crushes on animated animal characters.

Exactly!!!! There's a difference between drawing humanized creatures and straight up a realistic horse/dog/whatever. People (ESPECIALLY furries) are so eager to call people out when their first crush as a kid was Kovu from TLK2

This is one of the reasons I've been pushing (though not widely) for the use of the term "theriomorphic" as the sister term to "anthropomorphic" as it literally means "animal shaped" where as "feral" has a connotation of being wild, acting on instinct, or unintelligent (at least in a sapient way)

I've seen Whoisthisgit's video. Apparently there were some brutal death scenes, probably the darkest stuff in this franchise. If there's something this, + what I've heard about Warriors and Animorphs told me, is that you can get away with making gore for kids aslong as it's in text.

The Anne anime is considered a classic on it's own right, part of a series of classic literature adaptations called the "World Masterpiece Teather" (Was very popular in japan, europe and latam during the 70's and 80's, all feel very Ghibli-esque)
