The top 1% evades $163 billion in taxes each year and many Fortune 500 companies pay an effective tax rate of 0%. President Musk is cutting 6000, mostly enforcement, jobs at the IRS because he feels the rich aren’t exploiting the system enough. Grift.

Any other left-leaning folks just phenomenally tired of the Dems wringing their hands & telling US to call? Like I really don’t think they want us to decide what happens next b/c “eat the rich” is no longer a joke.

God, I love The Onion.

When I heard Musk say this on Tuesday, my assumption was that it was a programming issue. Because I can code and have written to databases and because I am familiar with other examples of default values being misinterpreted. Yet somehow Musk isn't.

the whole summer is gonna be a percussive wave of brutal crash courses for indoctrinated right wing and libertarian dipshits as to why government is actually important

See here's how to do a headline. fortune.com/2025/02/13/e...

This comment on r/fednews really stood out to me. Trump and Musk want people to think they're firing do-nothing "bureaucrats," but they're really getting rid of people dedicated to serving this country and keeping it operational. I hope these stories get told.

I feel like I can admit this now. Last year, when “They Not Like Us” was released, I thought Kendrick rapped “69 Dodge” at the end. For weeks I researched different Dodge cars released in 1969 to figure out how he was dissing Drake. I eventually decided I was too white to understand the lyric.

Anyone else disturbed by the number of ads for Christianity, particularly “HeGetsUs” recently? It’s creepy & dystopian. As someone who grew up in Evangelical circles, it’s giving heavy cult-initiate vibes & is fucked up. If you have to heavily advertise your faith, maybe it’s not that great. 😬
