It’s nice how they’ve replicated the middle school dynamic of the insecure bully and his sniveling sidekick picking on someone surrounded by a circle of scared little boys who also try to talk shit so the bully doesn’t come after them. Or as the right calls it, “masculinity.”

Can the doomsday clock be moved closer to midnight based on a press conference? Cos it certainly feels like we’ve inched a good bit closer tonight.

““Housing is a top priority” is now the Irish equivalent to when Republican senators offer “thoughts and prayers” after a preventable mass shooting. So lacking in genuineness and substance it gives Keir Starmer a run for his money.” ~Aoife Moore The Irish News ☕️🥐

Every second opinion piece these days is "Young people miss the camaraderie and social life of working in an office." and it's written by Europe'e biggest manufacturer of cubicle walls, water coolers and fluorescent lights.

Nazis: "that's a nazi salute" Historians: "that's a nazi salute" Average person: "that's a nazi salute" The Media: "Elon Musk makes odd gesture throwing his heart to the crowd."

To the crowds cheering Trump's withdrawal from the Paris Agreement: Do you think you live on a different planet, which climate breakdown does not affect? Do you imagine only greens and progressives will be harmed by Earth systems collapse? Do you believe you can win an argument with physics?

It is not free speech when Trump aligned oligarchs have their thumbs on the algorithms of all the social media apps.

Where is #TheTraitors really filmed? I can’t believe it’s Scotland, it’s way too sunny too often.

🧵 I live in Los Angeles. We have not had to evacuate and are safe, but like many people here, I have friends who have lost everything. I realize I can't combat the firehose (see what I did there?) of bullshit spewing about this disaster from internet and media sources, but I'll say this:

Yep, the problem definitely is that we don’t have enough men in charge. 🫠🤬 www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

Has half the legislation planned for NI this year failed to appear? Leader of the Opposition and SDLP MLA Matthew O’Toole claimed that the Executive will not deliver on the legislative programme for 2024 that was presented to the Assembly and that barely half of the 18 Bills scheduled will appear

The world’s richest 1% have more wealth than the bottom 95% put together, according to Oxfam. There is no moral justification for this extraordinary level of inequality. It's distorting politics, rigging our markets, and granting unprecedented power to a handful of people.

So it turns out they spent £715 million on sending a grand total of FOUR volunteers to Rwanda. For comparison, this is more than you could expect to spend on building an entire brand new hospital in the UK
