The Trump administration has already started making significant cuts to federal law enforcement. About 200 DEA employees recently accepted another buyout package. And the agency is doing away with its body cams to save money.

This isn’t even (just) snark. In practice the DOGE teams are running the show. But none of those people are Senate-confirmed. So they need pliant confirmed toadies like Rubio to maintain the legal fiction that they’re the ones technically implementing whatever DOGE does.

You couldn't pay me to watch the whole thing, but the few snippets I saw were clueless children smirking their way making obviously baseless claims about things they don't understand, with Watters gushing "well that's just stealing taxpayer money! They don't respect taxpayers!"
