It already has.
Barry Goldwater's push to shift the GOP into neoliberal economics damaged the environment and the economy, and they used zealots like Falwell to fuel a push further to the right as the parties couldn't find a happy medium, and the platforms of both kept getting pushed further right.

The private sector sells you whisky & cigarettes. The gov't tells you what they do to you.
The private sector wants deregulation so you get doors flying off planes & rat poo in your bread. The government tries to regulate to prevent those things. It wouldn't have to if business proved responsible.

And make no mistake, Medicaid means jobs. The private sector doesn't cover working adults for health insurance & won't pay enough to let someone cover it themselves. Medicaid makes it possible for that working person to live & work better, so they don't have to be crippled or to die young.

The reason why gov't has protected lands & rangers is because otherwise the private sector would bulldoze all of it & put up a parking lot.
The private sector created the dust bowl.
The gov't restored our ecosystems as much as possible.
The private sector creates an unhealthy word, Medicaid heals it

I think the eldest Gen-X & youngest boomers have finally caught on. They were promised under Nixon & Reagan (when they were still young & hopeful, and for which they now feel nostalgia) that trickle down would work - those who were never marginalized finally see that it never actually worked.

It can be tempting to rig mines to go off, but you have to play it 100% stealth with patience.
The game will actively work against you to prevent you from executing the move right, like not executing a silent takedown while hanging or from a lamppost. You have to figure out how to make it work.

For the hostage situations at the elevated train stations or outdoors, the captives are wired with explosives. That means carefully taking out the baddies one at a time using stealth, then slowly disarming the hostages.
There is usually only one way to do it without being seen & the bombs triggered.

Batgirl offers the best balance of stealth, tech, and attack power, so when you have "premeditated crimes" new challenges are presented. A truck robbery will be a basic melee, likewise with officers under attack.
A stronghold or hostage situation requires absolute stealth, especially the latter.

It's weird that the same people who want to ban smut will say you can't ban guns, because bans don't work.

Well, most of them are harmless, especially the shampire. That ghoul does a scalp massage like you wouldn't believe.

I've worked low level gov't jobs where I had eight bosses, and maybe one of them actually was there to work.

We had one of those at an old job in the lobby, and the guy who owned and filled it was a tea party guy.

Then there's the vampire that washes your car or hair, the shampire; the one that sits at the bottom of the ocean or grabs things like a vice, the clampire; the one that is always wet from being at the reservoir, the dampire; and one that lives in the woods taking photos, the campire.

That does sound like a fun romp compared to a lot of the crap I read with similar themes or motifs.

Heck, I could afford to teach ESL for free, like all the local nonprofits want me to do.

If I had all that money just "given away" to me, then I'd be so contented. I would have no problems, could invest in worker-owned companies, could maintain my family home & my car just fine, and we'd have a great life.

I agree with your preferences, although I go sugar free for a number of reasons. Thankfully, diet Faygo cola tastes really good, as do the other no sugar flavors. Their version of Mountain Dew, Moon Mist, is really refreshing.

I wasn't disrespecting Juggalos, I was praising them.
I drink Faygo. It's delicious.
I just make it a once in a while treat, and I respect it more than Coke or Pepsi with their ridiculousness.

*sips Faygo*
It's kosher, cheap, and the official drink of Juggalos, who have officially been pro-diversity. People shouldn't drink that much soda, anyway.

"This is all because of that little grey badger Terrence you have working here, isn't it?"
"Sir, we don't accept intolerance for our LGBT employees."
(Get it? Because he's little grey badger Terrence?)

I'm too traumatized by dating in general, poverty, & personal setbacks to hook up with someone from online.
