In January, Trump fired 19 inspectors general who root out fraud and corruption. One of his picks to replace them is a GOP ex-congressman who allegedly violated House ethics rules. Another resigned from a state job after allegedly mishandling taxpayer money. "Drain the swamp."

Yes, let’s be as unprepared as possible and follow the kooks off a cliff.

This week saw the uneasy GOP coalition of MAGA fascists, tech bro corporate oligarchs and religious extremists begin to fracture, led by Trump who personally attacked Leonard Leo of the Federalist Society. Pass the popcorn and check out my write-up, link in the replies.

Elon Musk is finally blowing out of town. BUH 👋 BYE. Came in like a science-denying wrecking storm, gutted climate policy, slashed USAID, and left a wake of devastation — and actual deaths — behind. Don’t let the rocket door 🚀 hit you on the way out. www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/o...

One passed laws for your kids. The other passed his hat for your cash.

As the climate crisis brings on increasingly hotter summers, keeping our homes cool can be a matter of life or death. Meanwhile, Trump is trying to eliminate a program that helps millions of people pay their energy bills and keep the AC on. Hello?

It seems that incompetence is a requirement for selection.

If Trump ends the contempt power of judges with his “big, beautiful bill,” no one will be able to stop him. A future Congress would need the power of the courts to enforce their investigations, subpoenas, and laws. It would be the end of American democracy.

It’s almost like it’s a personal grudge or something.

Remember how Trump convinced people he was a brilliant businessman? Now, he’s repackaged himself as some kind of “alpha leader.” But just like his businessman brand, Trump's strongman persona is crumbling right before our eyes as he struggles to hide his profound weakness as a leader.

Remember when Trump claimed the Biden administration wasn’t doing enough to help North Carolina recover from Hurricane Helene? Well, his administration just denied the state’s request for continued FEMA relief assistance. This hypocrisy isn’t just staggering. It’s cruel.

Charged in yet another country—truly despicable men, and naturally, comfortable in Trump’s world. Birds of a repugnant feather.

A recent report found that Elon Musk faced at least $2.37B in potential legal liability from 11 fed agencies as of Inauguration Day. As he exits, these agencies are still on DOGE's chopping block or have dropped investigations into his corporations. See what this was about?

Trump and Republicans on Capitol Hill have taken social Darwinism to a new level of absurdity. The America they seek is the one we last had in the Gilded Age of the late 19th century. https://robertreich.substack.com/p/the-reemergence-of-social-darwinism

While Stephen Miller publishes the faces of the judges that struck down Trump’s unlawful tariffs, his own goons in ICE refuse to show theirs out of fear of being publicly identified. If our judges are brave enough to face MAGA threats with their faces showing, ICE should not hide behind masks.

A federal judge in D.C. greenlit lawsuits challenging Elon Musk’s position in the federal government and the DOGE as unconstitutional. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

This may come as a surprise but we don't usually make vaccine policy via twats on twitter. No details, no timeline. That's what happens when you plan with Xcrement 💩 archive.is/2025.05.29-1...

A D.C. judge said Musk appears to lack the legal authority to direct alterations to the government because he is not a Senate-confirmed official and DOGE was never authorized by Congress. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

Gooooooood morning! ☀️ Today, we’re handing the reins to ChatGPT for all our posting! Just kidding. We’ll leave that to the college dropouts drafting national health policy with AI and imaginary studies…😵‍💫 abcnews.go.com/Politics/rfk...

“Since he stepped back into the Oval Office, nearly every day brings new examples of Trump’s commitment to authoritarianism and obsession with election denialism and subversion,” Marc Elias writes. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/the-...

Reminder: DOGE was never about "efficiency."

Karoline Leavitt is clearly making this stuff up as she goes.

And then ordered all the vaccines destroyed.

You can’t be “addicted” to a human right.

So it seems like Signalgate was just the tip of the iceberg...

Republicans can only lose 3 Senate votes on Trump's Big Ugly Bill — and these senators are the most vulnerable in 2026: -Collins (ME) -Tillis (NC) -Sullivan (AK) -Husted (OH) -Moody (FL) -Cornyn (TX) -Ernst (IA) If they represent you, tell them to vote NO.  (202) 224-3121

A federal judge recently blocked President Donald Trump’s plan to shut down the U.S. Department of Education, which aims to strip away critical services for students across the country while bypassing Congress. www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...

Jennica Bellanca trained mine workers to stay safe. Her job was cut in massive layoffs at NIOSH, the federal agency that protects worker health. Jennica warned, “When we’re gone, there’s nobody left to get this vital safety info out.” She was protecting American workers—now millions are at risk.

"The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little." -FDR, 1937

Trump’s HHS is canceling a contract to develop an mRNA bird flu vaccine, even as the disease continues to spread through dairy cows across the U.S. Make no mistake: delaying the development of this vaccine puts people’s lives at risk.

Someone tell Little Marco that international students pay a roughly three times as much as domestic students which helps subsidize the educational system for U.S. students. www.aljazeera.com/news/2025/5/...

NEW: The Trump administration has lost a shocking 96% of rulings in federal district courts so far this month, a new analysis shows. The rulings against the president came from judges across the ideological spectrum. From: @jaknutson.bsky.social www.democracydocket.com/news-alerts/...
