Here is a nice mushroom

This is a national emergency:

Trump’s tariffs are a tax increase for Minnesota families, plain and simple. While Trump raises prices, I’m proposing the first sales tax rate cut in our state’s history to help Minnesotans weather the storm.

We’ve seen him play this game. It has a name!

When our leaders refuse to talk about climate change, we have more of a responsibility to do so; to advocate for and become better leaders in the vacuum. Ignoring climate change will make it worse, but we can all have a part in mitigating the worst effects. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

It was a beautiful day at Lake of the Isles! #Minneapolis #Minnesota

Here are some nice mushrooms

Billie the goat likes making funny faces. He thinks in a world that seems scary, taking time to be silly is an act of resistance, resiliency, and hope.

When I was a teacher, my students and I always took time this month to honor the generations of Black Americans who fought against injustice to achieve equal rights. May we all reflect on our past as we continue working to build a society that lives up to its democratic ideals.

I just called Target Customer Service to register my disgust that they’re rolling back DEI programs. And as a Minnesotan, it’s especially disappointing. Today I’ll renew my Costco membership. #DEI #Target #Costco #Justice

Our 2025 Infrastructure Plan invests in:   - Clean drinking water - Modern infrastructure - Public safety - Safe and affordable housing   It’s a plan that will make Minnesota the best state to live and work.

Nor am I!

I finished the memoir “In the Garden Behind the Moon” by @alexkachan.bsky.social today. Wowza! It’s a beautiful, lyrical journey of grief and healing. Clergy friends, there’s some powerful stuff in here. #Disciples #DOC #grief

I don't remember anyone ever using tiktok to go in and slaughter school children. They banned tiktok before they banned assault rifles.

The practical implementation of this ban by tiktok is completely over the top. It's overcompliance to an extreme degree while praising Trump. It's clear that this is political at this point. This isn't simply an IP ban, it's an account level ban tied to accounts with registered US phone numbers.

That was fast.

If this wasn’t the most ominous way to learn it was gone—a German TikToker warning Americans about 1933, fascism, and media while seeing this TikTok splash—seemed too on the nose. #TikTok #BookTok #Ban #LightsOut #BookSky

We just announced $5.5 million for Minnesota food shelves, with half of the funds going toward food from Minnesota producers.   We're supporting local agriculture and relieving a strain on family pocketbooks.

Praying for our neighbors in California impacted by tragic wildfires and grateful to the brave first responders answering the call to a dangerous situation. Minnesota stands ready to help in any way we can on the long road to recovery.

I wish he were going to be my Vice President, but I’m pretty damned happy he’s my governor. EpiPens are specifically included. #TimWalz #Minnesota #FoodAllergies #Diabetes #MedicalJuatice

As of January 1, Minnesotans won’t have co-pays higher than $25 per month for prescription drugs used to treat chronic diseases, and we’re putting a $50 per month cap on all related medical supplies. We’re putting the wellbeing of our people before the profits of big pharma.

Tim Walz just capped prescription copays for Minnesotans at $25. In case Donold wants suggestions for his “concepts of a plan.”

Before you start judging our winter anxiety remember that some of us were feral children who survived the summer of 1980, outside sun up until the street lights came on, only a garden hose for hydration…we're the ones that survived…You really want to make fun of how we tolerate the weather?

She is the one who is speaking the most naturally and eloquently about her admiration for President Carter (compared to Thune and Johnson)—and most effectively. She could be the incoming president. Should be. #JimmyCarter #KamalaHarris #MyGriefIsTooGreat

Witnessed such a powerful musical tonight at the New York Theatre Workshop: We Live in Cairo! Wow. Such great storytelling about the Arab Spring in Egypt. #Jan25 #Theatre #revolutiom

“We entered a period in which every moment was weighted with both the absolute necessity of hope and a terrible and almost unbearable anticipation of the worst.” — “Ordinary Grace,” by William Kent Krueger
