More so, DNA is not culture, identity, nor kinship; which are, historically, what people have tended to use to reckon belonging. Partial genetic ties to ancestral populations do not, therefore, make you "part" anything. That's not how communities and cultures work. It also summons eugenics.

I was finishing the edits today on my infectious disease chapter for my next book on pregnancy loss, and when pregnant you really don't want flu, covid, CMV... And it's not only increased risk of miscarriage it's preterm birth, IUGR, preeclampsia.

Very true! Here’s an ex. from California’s Wi’ma (Santa Rosa Island) where Paleocoastal (12,000-8500 BP) features were identified in an NPS roadcut. I identified two types of #geophytes and we dated them directly to ~11,000 years ago. Indian potatoes (Dipterostemon) and little jicamas (Calochortus)

While I'm on the general subject of "AI," let me just say that it's a real dickheaded maneuver to tell an actual artist that their work "looks like AI." Their work doesn't look like "AI" because they're aping what "AI" does; it looks like "AI" because the "AI" company fucking stole from them.
