As for anything bad? No. But you miss out on two companion characters who have full fledged stories.
Also you miss out on a rogue, and you don't get another rogue for a while. Who is also missable ironically.

It's not a lot of work. Infact one companion makes the other easier to get. It's just missable.

Also big tip for DA 1. Look up your party members. 3 are very easy to miss. And you get 2 early.

I can give a more detailed answer after my stream. ^^
But a quick answer is Dual Sword Rogue.
High damage, feels good and quick.
And party members. You don’t get a dual sword party member until later. Where as you’d get everything else early.
