“Knowitall“ is ironical, you see. Xenophile. 7th Beatle. Tikkun Olam.

Talk a little about your "experience."

Cool headline, 2015! Thanks!

Super. Enjoy your day.

That’s not why, if you read the article.

As another person commented, the Hall defines Rock, and not you. When you own an institution, run it how you see fit.

Buy it, and call it what you want.

Ever use PEDs, Andy?

Kennedy. Hughes. Chamberlain. Bird. Sanchez. Volpe. Dominguez. The list goes on and on if can’t-miss prospects that the FO sells the fans on. Rice has had an OK run in the bigs, but he’s not special. Lombard and Spencer are next. The farm has produced Judge and little else this century. Be honest.

You seem to be telling me you’re disagreeing with me, but then list a bunch of things to support my contention that it’s not just a slump, or that it’s the hitting coach. The roster problems — which include a god-awful farm — are the deeper issue.

Maybe they were drunk in April and May.
comment in response to post
Maybe, but you’re focusing on the hitting coach, as has been the case in the past, irrespective of minor arguments about statistics. I would argue that the problem is much, much deeper.

It was Kevin Long’s fault, too.

LOL. AI nonsense

Stop. Dads have been doing this for centuries. Not always well, not all of them all the time, but we've been doing it for centuries. The "look at me, I'm working so hard" mentality is so pervasive we can't see it anymore. Grow up.

Another loser, radicalized.

Playoff atmosphere at Fenway. That explains Judge's fall-off.

Good to see everyone in this thread keeping an open mind.

A cursory glance at their respective time lines and successes shows this to be faction. Enjoy your search!

Brian would and did say the same thing about Rubber Soul. By no objective measure — sales, cultural influence, anything — can you say the BB were better; only that you prefer them. And that’s fine.

I'm not one to call for the end of tenure normally, but here I'll make an exception.

I was striving to be diplomatic. How a 60-year-old winds up working there, I don't know. And her opinions on music? Well ... OK.

I never worked in a mailroom. I bet that had its interesting moments.

lol. You made a statement (unsupportable) about how Brian was superior to three songwriters in the Beatles. I disagree, and you started to cry. You twat.
comment in response to post
I have two, thanks. Put Endless Bummer next to '62-'66 and '67-70, and be honest, if only as an experiment.
comment in response to post
LOL. Stick to bird law, whatever that is.

Any rivalry they had lasted for about 18 months. It centers on "Pet Sounds." ("Rubber Soul" before it, "Revolver" and "Pepper" after. All bands want to be put in the same universe as the Beatles. There's a good reason why Beach Boys fans don't compare the band to the Stones.
comment in response to post
I agree completely. One can appreciate Wilson's obvious talent without making the Beach Boys out to be anything significant.
comment in response to post
"Without A, no B" cannot be substantiated in any way. McCartney always tips his cap to Pet Sounds, but let's not get carried away.
