Some fursuiters will glue the lenses of an old pair into the head, but due to my astigmatism I can’t do that. With my prescription it doesn’t take much of a shift to make everything look like funhouse mirror distortion.

Planning on getting “Hippy” glasses for fursuiting and car shows. A small narrow pair would be more comfortable with my heads.
If you’re commissioning a suit ask the maker to accommodate for glasses. Resin heads seem to have more room. Any type will be more difficult to put on.

Eye dr told me mine was so bad that it’d be near impossible to keep them in with the lenses designed for astigmatism. Have a hard enough time just getting glasses made correctly.
Fortunately I can get my fursuit heads on with glasses on. Need to get a smaller pair though to be comfortable.

Never had contacts, my astigmatism is so bad I can’t even have Lasik.
Trying to get used to bifocals now.

I can’t remember the last time I bought a doughnut anywhere, I rarely buy anything or go anywhere now, would be different if my income had increased at the same rate as taxes and prices. But income here hasn’t changed much since the Obama years.

Was asked that quite often, still get asked that when people realise I’m a grey fox.

Patchouli and Kush are my favourite essential oils, my good Patchouli which has plant in it is over 30 years old, Plant Guru is the closest I’ve found to it. Got one of the last Patchouli fursuit sprays from Rasputin, make my own now, use for more than just fursuit.
Avoid exposing them to cats.

Can relate, started sorting through my fathers tools, etc, need to try and make notes of stories with certain items while I still can, but I also have to start doing the same with my stuff since I might not even reach retirement age.

Vitamin B complex seems to help as well.
I’m not sure if coincidence or not, but drastically cutting sugar might help, discovered due to trying to lower my A1C to avoid diabetes.

My parents, grandparents & great grandparents all went the added expense and shot their home movies with colour film.
A cousin had a sound movie camera, I vaguely remember him trying to get us to talk to it, haven’t seen most of his films, but they sent a video of one with my grandmother talking.

The movie films I found were home movies, one had footage of me with my mother in the hospital shortly after I was born.

I was 2 or 3 when we left CA. Was close to 50 years ago.
Found movie films in the 90’s and after watching them realised what I thought were dreams / imagination, were actually memories of the house in CA.

That’s how I got my first cat, she stayed with me the rest of her life.

Heat tends to help me better than cold, but it depends on the pain. Alternating between hot and cold may also help.

After roughly 6 hours clearing snow, sciatica is hurting fairly bad, using a heating pad right now.

Thought about doing some snow photos but by the time I was done clearing snow, it was too dark and I was too sore anyway.

Have a similar scar, was cut there twice in the 1990’s, first was to cut the bone to straighten my leg, an internal brace was screwed to the bone to eliminate the need for a body cast. 2 years later was cut open again to remove the brace. 2 other bones below knee were also cut & repositioned.

At least I got to end 2024 and start 2025 with Pizza.
I’ve already known for months that this year will be a big challenge. Only time will tell.

Know the feeling. This year is ending just as bad as it started, every year this decade has been worse than the preceding year. Have stayed in bed most of the week and am still not relaxed.

Hope you feel better soon, gargling with salt water can help, so can mouthwash, when all else fails I use a numbing spray like Chloraseptic.

Even straight honey is good. Just take as needed or lick a spoonful. Can help throat, help with congestion, etc.
