Oh, that's very well possible, but that one I don't remember :D

Oh, nice. Played that one on the c64, but the cool thing was also the editor and physics, making a map with mud and ice and driving on it with a moon buggy

The question is rather where the lines are drawn. Jeff Vogel is also a solo dev, but I think he doesnt describe him as such and always says "we" as the company also includes his wife doing some financial stuff. But you got the same already with indie devs. Up to which point are they truly indie?

Sounds interesting. However the trailer looks like it's struggling already with FPS. And I guess that's fine as it seems like it's not a full release but just an Early Access release. But I also can't shake the feeling of it looking very much like "After Reset RPG" which turned out to be "scam".

I recommend to capture the program though (source game or window) unless screen capture is unavoidable, as screen capture takes tons more resources. Also ofc 2nd screen is gold for that kind of stuff, can be a tiny one ^^

Looking good! But I'd pull the camera a bit "back", that way you can see the tiles left and right and the tile you are standing on just a little bit. Helps with orientation and avoids that the wall is "in your face" if you are directly infront of it.

Was the only reason why I got myself a mobile phone in the first place a few years ago. Wouldnt have been able to log into my bank account anymore...

I only checked into the negative one. I mean it's a civ game. I don't need anyone to tell me what works great. I wanted to check if there were any dealbreakers like bad AI, bad balancing. Turns out on top of that there is also a bad interface...

Would also be nice if this and your current game had a movement queue of 1 input. Thats one little thing (though possible not as easy to implement) which to me makes gridders immediately much more enjoyable. It adds a movement "tolerance" which can be seen in games as early as Pacman.

Found this game a bit ago Never played Ultima Savage Frontier, but it's what it reminds me of...and ofc my childhood playing with Dino Rider toys. Looking forward to this one. Always great to see some fresh scenarios.

For me it depends a bit on what you classify as RPG. On the C64 my age, game complexity and lack of english skills was n the way for most RPGs. But one game I was able to play was "Mafia" and to a degree you can consider it an RPG. You hire your crew, "open world", TB combat. (Combined Screenshots)

Avernum: Escape from the Pit (Isometric Turn Based Indie RPG). Games from Spiderweb are all pretty brutal when played on "Torment" difficulty. But especially in that game you cant weasel your way through and need to know what you are doing.

Reminds me quite a lot of Graywalkers: Purgatory which has a similar setting. However Graywalkers had/has a very troubled development and might never fully see the light of release. Hopefully that's different with Chains of Freedom.
