It’s weird how the person that makes perfect choices for staffing constantly has to replace them…

There are definitely a lot of challenges with our systems.
Thanks to you as well. I am always happy to have discussions with others the understand their perspectives, and hopefully share mine. Hope you have an amazing day!

As far as the contract, they did violate it and are in court currently.
Conversations are they only way were are going to get anywhere. I understand that there are hurt feelings in both sides, and also can admit that I reply out of those at times, and other times I appreciate humor and sarcasm. 😊

I appreciate your dialogue. It is true there are many lower paying jobs, but they overwhelmingly do not require a master’s level of education. Again, the reason behind PSLF. I did make a choice to continue my education & a career dedicated to public service. I had hoped I could trust the gov’s word.

2/2 People were not entering those fields as the salaries were not in align with the educational demands. Have you noticed the teacher shortage? Hence student loan forgiveness. I’ve started my degree after the program started & have been in it for almost 10 years - which is how long the program is.

1/2 I’m happy that you and your family were fortunate enough to be able to do so. The Public Servant Loan Forgiveness plan that I am in was actually put in place by Bush, not Biden. The purpose of it was to incentivize people to lower paying public service fields because of the growing need.

3/3 honors the original contract. Then you and the rest of the American taxpayers will have the joy of those loans being repaid, plus the interest they accrued. Again, not a great plan. But that’s all trump has…concepts of shitty plans.

2/3 This is why there are active court cases against this. But trump knows that average Joe’s can afford to wait him out in court if they have any plans to purchase any items that require decent credit.
However those that do have time, will go into deferment until a new president is elected and

1/? I completely understand this. However the government or president intentionally deceiving people and actually violating the terms of the agreement before the changes being enacted by legislation is actually illegal according to the contract. He can change the terms for future lenders, though.

Also, there are about 1.3 million people in the PSLF program and 12.7 in IDR. When my city of about 250,000 people experienced about 10k in layoffs from a large company in the area, it crippled the economy in the city. This plan is actually not good for the economy.

So your saying that 18 year olds should expect that the government is going to attempt to incentivize them to enter low paying fields & eventually screw them out of the agreement they developed? All while making $ off of them & saddling them with debt at a higher interest rate? Cause that’s f*%#ed!

Yeah, not going to put a contract out for the world with all of my info. But, you can look at the court cases from trump’s last admin stating that not honoring the contract was illegal and why the Biden admin had the pay out plus the accrued interest. Which means the tax payer actually paid more.

Well I hope you apply that same logic to the corporations who get billions in handouts a year.
I also didn’t assume that the president was going to try to screw over the American people by not honoring the assistance offered to incentivize people to go into these fields. My bad, I guess.

But you realize that the pendulum is swinging back bc mostly white men are feeling the pain of not having an incredibly unfair advantage and want it back? And the crazy thing is…they still, and always have, had the advantage. And yup, I’ll take someone who works their ass off over hedge fund kid.

True equality allows for equity. If you’re really looking for equality, then why the worry of DEI? All it does is even the playing field.

Also, if IDR were to have not been an option in the future, no one whorls have chose it, as you pay much more in interest overtime.

Must be micro porn. And I have read the contract. It states that I am to have my student loan forgiven after 120 payments while working in a non for profit or government position under the income driver repayment plan. Trump found the loophole by getting rid of IDR.

I went back for my masters degree w/the intent of PSLF. I signed paperwork for PSLF & IDR as needed 4 qualified payments. I’ve complied with my portion of the agreement. The reason public servants are given forgiveness is bc our fields require masters but do not get compensation = to other fields.

Yup! I’m a social worker and my husband is a teacher. We have almost $250k in loans between us. We have 2 kids in daycare and bought a new house last year. The increase could bankrupt us. We both are a year away from PSLF…if it will still exist.

The part that sucks about the electricity tariffs is the 3 states that it is affecting are democratic states. Trump probably thinks that is hilarious.

I WISH this was a list that our nation could embrace, but since 2016, we have shown we cannot. We need more time to forgive and remember how to love each other, first.

As soon as Trump goes to touch Elon’s son, he turns him and puts his body in front of him, protectively. Even Elon doesn’t trust him or want Trump touching his son.
