This. I'm not defending Musk's intelligence (which is hugely overblown), but we must understand that he doesn't believe the things he says. His statements do not reflect his *analysis* or actual understanding of anything. He doesn't want to weaponize facts; he wants to make them irrelevant.

HHS postponed the Feb 26-28 Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices meeting b/c of “not enough time for public comment”. HHS refused CDC requests to open up public comment Feb 3rd. Meeting topics included Lyme disease and influenza. RFKJr gave assurances at confirmation to not "change" ACIP

No PhD students or severely reduced # of admits -> *undergraduates* looking now to start the next phase of their career in support of research & discovery will be stuck without an option. This is far from the only place in a similar situation, whether announced publicly yet or not.
