They want everyone to assume any brown person in their vicinity is a secret Iranian agent bent on blowing up the local kindergarten or whatever so they can send a generation of soldiers to die in the sand again. It's just trying to meme racism ahrd enough that we give consent to war. Again.

Hilariously - Iran gave their population more democratic input on their war than we are.

US troops in the region at 100% at risk. However given that attacks on them were how Trump almost triggered this war during his last administration, it's likely Trump *wants* those attacks, so he can justify going to war. It's an illegal, unconstitutional act and he should be impeached. Now.

I believe the US mainland is outside the range of Iran's missile technology. We are simply not at risk from that vector. Israel is, but has the best missile defenses USD can buy. It's also not known if Iran has enough radiologicals for serious dirty bombs, though they are pretty simple in theory.

Not only that it's a more hoenst accounting than is permitted to be aired by the US newspapers and broadcast networks.

The USIC did mostly say that there weren't WMDs there (except the chem ones we gave Saddam to use against Iran back in the day). Donald Rumsfeld had to basically invent a new intel agency under his express control to cook the books and frog-marched Colin Powell to the UN to sell the lie.

In terms of "civilian control of the police" I don't think NYPD ranks highly? My understanding was they deliberately torpedoes the DeBlasio mayorship because he hurt their feelings by not being racist enough for them during BLM.

The fun question is whether they get charged for murdering each other "in the line of duty," or if they're just waved off like when they shoot a member of the public on grounds they figure out after the cameras are off and the body's cold.

Not sure NYPD would disperse if ordered anyway, it's not like they actually answer to the mayor.

Well, well, well, if isn't the question of ownership of the means of production, predictably showing up in predictable places...
