Different product?! A residential unit is a residential unit is a residential unit. Whether that's a single family home or a unit in a multifamily building. More homes on one parcel of land instead of a SFH = lower prices

What is it about CRASH that makes you curious about zoomer's reaction to it?

That's a fair critique! I'd like to see him take a stronger, clearer stance, too. I guess my thing with Pete is that from a rhetorical perspective, there are very few people who can compete with him. The Rev. Senator Warnock? AOC? Not sure who else. And in national elections, that's important.

Democratic*, don't talk like a knuckle-dragging Republican.

Yes. They are weird white supremacist, eugenics-believing, knuckle dragging freaks.

Would like to know what your beef is with Pete. I'm not sure there is anyone on the Democratic side - as much as I love AOC and her policy positions - that can speak the way Pete does.

I can't believe anyone agrees to do interviews with him. It reminds me of the segment from the Colbert Report, "Better Know a District!", interviewing crank & obscure people from Congress. And if I'd guess, it was like they didn't know who Colbert was and that he'd inevitably make a fool of them.

I guess Sen Weiner isn't a member of this committee?

looks like you have a 2nd bay crossing for capital corridor (that maybe has a station in west oakland?). would you use this 2nd crossing for bart trains too in this fantasy map? :)

This says more about current elected Dems than it does SAS. It's clear what the Democratic base wants, and the current electeds (bar Bernie and AOC) are not giving it to them.

This is a better response on this topic than I have heard from any single elected Democrat. It just isn't difficult to call these things out with simple but strong language like this. This is authentic from Smith, and it's why the base is so tired of consultant-speak from most Dems

Downstream of successfully tackling these high costs impeding a sound life would be a greater collective sense of security and community. This would solve so much of the "crisis of masculinity" problem we are seeing on the right. @yimbydems.bsky.social are the answer!

Which option is best, A or B? I'm happy to send in comment but don't want to suggest the one that is worse off.

Yeah, YIMBYism also advocates for wholesale reformations of the zoning code so a homeowner can do whatever they want with their property. Single family home? A small developer can turn that into a 4- or 6-plex. So yes, YIMBYism is multifaceted. Build all the high rise towers, too!

Theo, when supply suddenly & drastically drops and the supply/demand imbalance becomes too lopsided, what's the one tool to get back to equilibrium?

Trudeau & the Canadian govt's aggressive response is clearly the template Democrats should be following. The Canadian public are quickly and unambiguously getting behind them. The same would be true for Jeffires, Schumer, etc, if they followed suit.

Appreciate how vocal you've been, Rep. Stansbury! Please keep the good fight going and doing your best to persuade your Democratic colleagues to crank up the pressure. Thank you!

Overreach? are you fucking kidding? You're the one who wants to inspect kids groins if you a girl is a little too good at sports. Fuck all the way off. You're the ones obsessed with trans people in sports, not progressives or trans advocates.
