Husband is big on that era and we pay a ridiculous amount for Sirius XM solely because of the “Outlaw Country” channel. Highly recommend.

Ooh, from the land of invasives, can I recommend trying garlic mustard as a one to one sub for basil in your pesto recipe? It’s all over my woods and the deer won’t eat it but it’s amazing - pick it young before it flowers.

From what I can gather, UA created a special event just for Trump - he is not speaking at any commencement ceremony, just a newly created thing the night before. Students can go to it if they want but nobody will walk there. Pretty slick move by UA admins imho - it’s a no-win situation.

(at least, that's how much I figure mine cost after everything I've sunk into my garden)

Seriously, though, what are your known predators? I fight raccoons, chipmunks, squirrels, voles, deer and bear. My biggest problem recently is chipmunks and so I got something called the Chipmunkinator. Humane trap. We drive them across a river/bridge and let them out there. Traps might work for you

Ooooh. Time for a trail cam. Or an all-night stakeout. Without knowing your enemy, you are fighting with one hand tied behind your back.

Also, I occasionally check in on the r/professors sub and search for Florida posts and it’s pretty awful. Might suggest posting there and asking for advice.

lol, “devoted to research and teaching on Western civilization and the principles of a free society” and Ben Sasse has washed up into a professorship so yeah, probs right.

Totally get it. That’s why the kid ended up at Bama. He will graduate with no debt. I can’t argue with that; no undergrad degree is worth a $320k tab.

Seems like you are just two weeks from decision day so it’s really too late to be offering advice on new places to apply. But those are great options. I would pick Pitt or Md if in budget: both excellent schools.

My kid was accepted to Pitt also. But we had money limits and even in state, Pitt was too much. Same with CWRU (waitlist but they pushed for us to commit).

But I totally understand every person who says no way to Bama.

Depends on your budget, really. I would recommend southern state schools with high stats and budget constraints - but not if it’s a girl. My kid is a double major phil/polisci at Bama and just got accepted to the accelerated masters program so will get that done concurrently. Great opportunities.

Revere’s first stop after leaving Warren’s is at a friend’s house, whom he asks to go to the Old North Church and briefly place two lanterns in the steeple, to let Patriot lookouts in Charlestown know the redcoats are going out by water, in case he has trouble leaving town.

Not for nothin and I am the quintessential internet stranger but dm me if you want a college admissions sounding board and have nowhere else to turn. That shit has been my focus for going on 10 years now. I like to think I know a bit.
