Also Zizek in every other interview: “my good friend Yanis Varoufakis…”

Just as long as you don’t mention anything related to healthcare in Finland. Then significant bullshit must be called.

They are all surveilling us, but it's not even any kind of fair competition: in anything Google-related, you're the product 99% of the time.

Android, and Google in general, has always been a who's who of mass surveillance. It's literally been their business model since the company's foundation. If you want any privacy, it's basically only Apple.

Porukka puhuu täällä enkkuu ihan liian hyvin, ainakin Hesas. Ku siihen lisää vielä sen, et on ite vähän introvertti, niin eihän siitä harjottelusta tuu mitään.

I am so embarrassed that I used to wholeheartedly believe in American propaganda. Really can't overstate how eye-opening these past 5 years have been.

Passively drawing an increasing number of unexpected parallels between the US and the so-called Russian "Federation."

Oh man, we actually used hunspell in one of the games I worked on. Interesting tidbit, thank you!

So, how do you explain "fruit," "advice," and "furniture" to someone who is:
1. Not a native speaker.
2. Doesn't already speak the language.
comment in response to

Well, you'll be happy to hear that this is consistent with most European languages!

"Vegetables" are countable because you can count individual vegetables!
"Fruit" is uncountable because you...eh.
Whatever, English. Whatever.

Then again, I've said this for years, no language is weirder than English.
"Countable" and "uncountable" are alien concepts that have no grounding in the physical reality of the world that everyone learns by heart, and then we all collectively pretend that it's normal and logical.

Yeah, so I think we can all agree that auto-complete, as a general thing in coding *waves hand vaguely*, really needed a new coat of paint, and I think we got it. I don't have to do boilerplate = I can do more gameplay. Like that part.

If you're in Unity, Cursor is decent. The Visual Studio extension for GitHub (whatever it is called) technically works well, but it's pretty bad at coding.

Yeah, that has been really helpful for taking repeated photos of the back of my router.

Last night's WWDC was like, "Oh, are your transparent buttons now a different type of transparent? Incredible."

I haven't seen any point in buying new phones since iPhone X (besides the phone being like, physically broken). As a consequence of everything being SaaS now, I'm not even sure I care if it's an Android or an iPhone anymore. I'm absolutely buying whatever's cheapest next time I have to get a phone.

Anyway, here's a 5-second Gemini app that generates design pillars with a press of a button, created to illustrate the above message: g.co/gemini/share...

I feel attacked. I have a lot of hobbies: I watch Netflix, YouTube, eat Pringles, and listen to Spotify on the way to work.

I have a lot of hot takes about some of the current localization setup we have in the industry, in general, but I think I'd better keep them to myself, heh.

I honestly expect some dumb fringe movement or another to pick it up any day now. Musk's own daddy just attended a conference in Moscow, where it's basically their main symbol.

I can think of two different tricolor flags you should have a problem with. Coincidentally, all three of these are placed prominently in St. Petersburg.
