Trump just finished his last first 100 days in office, and now he’s an unpopular lame-duck president. We put together a toolkit that makes it easy to share news about Trump's most unpopular policies and biggest failures: app.sosha.ai/toolkit/trum...

having gotten *FIVE* of these calls today, all different numbers and states, time to remind everyone: IF THERE ARE PROBLEMS WITH YOUR TAXES THE *IRS* ITSELF WILL CONTACT YOU *VIA US MAIL*, *NEVER* BY PHONE. PHONE CALLS FROM "TAX INSTITUTES" ETC ARE SCAMMERS WHO SHOULD DIE IN FIRES

Vatican to announce its choice of a new Pope in a Signal group chat.

It is really bothering me (understatement) that the message is “bring back that one innocent guy” and not “WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK SHUT DOWN THIS WHOLE OPERATION IMMEDIATELY.”

KEEP FIGHTING!!!

After massive public backlash, the Social Security Administration is rolling back its disastrous cuts to phone services. This is a huge victory for the public against DOGE's rampage. Keep up the fight.

How many IRS commissioners have to resign before I don’t have to send in my payment?

I have the flu and I’m so sad I can’t go. Thank you to everyone participating for protecting our democracy 💙💙

It’s a heist movie but just with a bunch of humanities scholars trying to get their grant money back.

Been thinking about this Zappa quote a lot lately.

The Senate votes to terminate the so-called national emergency. This is something.

Rest and joy can be resistance. Sports, knitting, reading, watching trash, talking to a friend about some lovely in their life. Especially if you're a person under constant threat. You need rest and joy, these psychos in power are actively trying to strip you of both.

When you look at the list of institutions they want to defund: libraries, museums, the Smithsonian, public schools, PBS, NPR, archives, you can clearly see that the real threat to an authoritarian regime is an informed and educated public

👏 executive 👏 orders 👏 are 👏 not 👏 laws 👏

Um, the security protocols I had to follow on Rings of Power were stricter than this government war plans signal thread?!

please don’t text me war plans, because I’m actually at capacity right now and I don’t think I can hold appropriate space for you. do you have someone else you could reach out to?

I will fight facism will every ounce of love I have for this country

I’m reading Sunrise on the Reaping and I am INHALING this book in a way only my middle school self did. That fact alone makes this book good and I’m grateful to Suzanne Collins for giving me a few hours to feel like a kid again

A proposed warehouse in Essex would be the first Amazon facility in Vermont. Residents have vowed to oppose the project at every step of the approval process. www.vermontpublic.org/local-news/2...

Good news from Colorado: A U.S. District Judge ordered a school district to restore library books they banned by next week, prohibiting the district from further restrictions on access to books that the school board objects to politically. #UniteAgainstBookBans www.denverpost.com/2025/03/19/e...

Opinion | Why Democrats should nominate Liz Cheney in 2028.

Over 100,000 seats are up for grabs in 2025 — governors, mayors, city councils, state representatives, judges, school boards, and more. Taking back our power starts now.

I am working out of a public library and there are a good number of people who seem to be on hard times using the facilities for various reasons like job searching, entertainment, charging peripherals, using the bathroom, etc., and I am struck by how important it is that libraries continue to exist

REPOST GOOD NEWS. CONTINUE TO FIGHT TO GOOD FIGHT. THEY THRIVE OF DEFEATISM

Dictator shit

I unironically use my local library a lot. Ebooks, audio books, physical books, the seed exchange, the meeting spaces?? Passport services?? Citizenship and English classes? I grew up in the teen hangout area as a housing insecure youth with a bad parent. Libraries are important, I'm pissed

I just went to a community theater production of Peter Pan and it was so much fun and here’s a reminder that creating art and community is an act of resistance and is a source of so much joy

Do you all know how many amazing things you can do for free with a library card? This week alone I: Got my whole family free tickets to the LA Zoo, took a free drawing class, finally created a LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT because the card also gets you free legal services!! Take advantage if you can! 🥰

Opinion | I Am Part of the Resistance Inside the Barnes & Noble Where Chuck Schumer Is Doing a Book Signing by Anonymous

Today would be a good day to walk down to your local library and get a library card.
