It's possible it was from skat music, depending on when they were founded. (There's also a card game called skat, but that's less likely as I think that was probably a regionally-specific name.)

This is apalling! Even aseptic requires handwashing + gloves. I'm an admin worker in primary health care (in UK). ZERO contact with patients. *I* have to do annual training on hand hygiene & infection control - & our IC lead tests you with the cream & the machine that shows if you missed any spots.
