There is a lot going on here, but among other things I could do without the person responsible for public health referring to people with low IQ (to whatever minimal degree that is meaningful anyway) as "stupid."

No, you cannot make me feel sorry for this hideous husk of a human.

Happening now on the steps of the MO State Capitol! The public hearing for HJR 73, which overturns MO Amendment 3& reinstates the abortion ban, just ended. 100s of Missourians traveled to Jefferson City to testify against HJR 73, and were denied their time to speak. Listen to their testimonies now!

Last night we had a full room of people take time out of their Monday during one of the busiest times of the year to talk about Missouri and what our lawmakers have been doing (and not doing) in Jeff City. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported and taken the time to listen and share. 1/3

Listening to Senate committee hearing on HJR 73: chamber.senate.mo.gov/scr1 Rev. Molly Housh Gordon of Columbia speaks powerfully about her experiences with her congregation--with those who've made moral decisions about pregnancy. A majority of people of faith believe in access to abortion. #moleg

Dear god let this man cook.

“And I’m like, what do you mean, you ‘do your own research’? You running a double-blind study in your living room, dawg?” - A guy walking ahead of me with his friends on a NYC sidewalk in 2021, also my favorite overheard dialogue of the entire pandemic

Let your Senators know you oppose HCR 73. Its ballot language tries to deceive voters and doesn't make clear that it would overturn Amendment 3 and restore an almost total abortion ban. #MOLEG

📣ICYMI: Our town hall @chrismurphyct.bsky.social brought over 1,200 Missourians out to ask Ann Wagner why she isn’t fighting for MO families. Over 60 volunteers made sure that question was asked. MO is tired of absent politicians who only show up & work for their friends. -MDPChair Carnahan #moleg

Missouri’s Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld Proposition A, the voter-approved law expanding paid sick leave set to go into effect Thursday. It was a unanimous opinion but one judge dissented on the reasoning. #moleg #mogov via @clarabates.bsky.social

It took the St. Louis Metro Police 2 days to realize someone had snuck into the parking garage at police hq, gotten into an unlocked SWAT bunker & stolen 2 duffel bags with guns, ammunition, and a projectile launcher. The launcher is still missing. The state took over SLMPD 26 days prior. #MoLeg

personally would like to see every store show what part of the price increase is due to tariffs bc if these tariffs ever come down, i need to see that price go right back down

Forgot education, somehow

Life does not begin at conception. You can believe whatever you want, because we're Americans, but this is not even controversial in Missouri. #moleg #Amendment3

The Missouri Senate voted Tuesday to ban child marriage by raising the minimum age for marriage to 18 in all instances. The legislation is now bound for the governor’s desk:

Jumped in the car and drove 90 minutes to join a town hall held in Chesterfield to see Sen. @chrismurphyct.bsky.social rally voters in Ann Wagner’s district. (Wagner never holds public events where she answers to Missourians.) Of course I found *many* @momsdemand.bsky.social friends in the crowd!

Seriously, why is RFK Jr worried about dyes in food when his department is cutting safety standards for milk and chicken?

Imagine having bullets flying all around you and then having to immediately turn around & march to your state legislature to ask your leaders to do the *BARE MINIMUM* to make sure that more bullets don’t head in your direction in the future. Only in America do we put students through any of this.

It was every bit as bad when Ed Martin was in Missouri.

Anyone surprised even a little bit by the smirking and snarking and otherwise lazy, ineffectual leadership of the current administration in Washington hasn't spent any time following what happens in single-party-lead red state governments. Meet the minor leagues in Missouri. #moleg

JUST IN: The DOJ just canceled hundreds of public safety grants—including funding for community violence intervention and domestic violence survivor support—claiming they didn’t “align” with their priorities. These cuts gut life-saving programs and leave communities vulnerable.

Extremist bills like the Second Amendment Preservation Act tie local law enforcement's hands, making us LESS safe. I’m joining survivors, @momsdemand.bsky.social and @studentsdemand.bsky.social to urge #moleg including Sen. @s-webber.bsky.social to stand up to the gun lobby and block this bad bill.

On #moleg hearing on HB328, forcing guns on transit: "'We cannot continue in our state to put more guns in more public spaces in the hands of more teenagers, who we know commit more gun homicides at over triple the rates of adults,' Kristin Bowen, a representative of @momsdemand.bsky.social said."

Kristin Bowen of @momsdemand.bsky.social relied on public transportation for 20 years “What’s appalling is that you never see people who actually commute on buses and trains come to testify. There’s absolutely no evidence that putting more guns in more public spaces is making anything safer.” #moleg
