“Human females are so repulsive” is the funniest joke in Star Trek Generations.

In these cases I can't even get HDMI to work. I have to unplug it and watch it on the laptop screen. Then it works fine.

I'm pretty sure it's a design "feature" to stop you plugging in a big TV to the laptop and watching on a device that way. Doesn't make it any less frustrating - I can do other things on the other screen while something is playing!

I grew up on the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy radio shows, so I'm really curious as to how this will go. But throwing in Wrenn Schmidt as well? I need to Google "how to be more in than already in"!

As much as my head goes to Lex Luthor first, I think his best role was in The Crimson Tide.

By the way, kudos to the photoshopper who correctly predicted what the Celtic home kit would eventually look like in UEFA competitions! That big stupid white bit where the number sits always bugs me!

for me its:
Celtic, Bayern Munich (at their new stadium), Barcelona, Real Madrid, AC Milan (so technically also Inter but like you I didn't see Inter play), Ajax, Chelsea (but not v Celtic), Hamburg and Benfica.
List above is only for visiting their home grounds for a game.

Like I said to someone else on here, it's like there's two different categories. The existing stuff we already have and own isn't benefiting the creators any more than it already has and that can't be changed. The new stuff coming along - HBO Potter, new Buffy etc - that's the problem.

As much as I think they're two separate conversations (the content of Buffy, Serenity, Good Omens etc can have their own debates). ultimately the conclusion of the first one about the artist renders the one about their content irrelevant if you don't consume it.

I"m trying to separate the general principle of the art and the artist, from the actual content. This isn't just specifically about Rowling, this is about Whedon or Gaiman or whoever else is a problematic artist now or in the future. Not saying you're wrong, but there's two conversations to be had.

Yeah, so enjoying the books I already own or the digital media I've bought in the past is fine (in principle, that's not getting into the content itself). The problem comes when there's new material, or even just existing material on streaming platforms. HBO Harry Potter, new Buffy etc.

Yeah, some really great points in there. I think it's on my mind right now because I'm reading about SMG being involved in new Buffy and I really don't know where to go with that as the creator will benefit. Enjoying existing stuff and getting new stuff, feels like it falls into separate categories.

I'm constantly torn about whether to separate the art from the artist or not. It's difficult to stop liking things I've really enjoyed like Harry Potter or Buffy the Vampire Slayer or American Gods given what we learn about their creators later. Does it invalidate what we enjoyed? Were we wrong?

Old Rangers will be spinning in their grave tonight, they never lost a cup tie at home to lower league opposition. Put that in your 125 years of Ibrox history!

Even the bad ones like myself do that!
