What I love so much about Boromir, is that he was one of the more compassionate and earnest members of the Fellowship. Being the youngest man in the party, he gave some of the best advice. He also was the one who really sold Aragorn on Gondor, and what he could be to the people. #lordoftherings

Also can I talk about how much I have noticed that Gandalf is wrong a bunch of times? Like with things he says to try and comfort people. And I LOVE that. Because Gandalf is really an entity that existed since the beginning of the Music. He doesn’t always know or understand how feelings work.

Denethor didn’t /realize/ how much he loved Faramir. He cared so much about his legacy and his bloodline that he didn’t even realize Faramir was still alive, and decided the only thing left to do was to burn them. That’s a narcissist all day. Sauron couldn’t have corrupted an untainted mind.
