Catnip banana toy is the best! Or Squeakers is doing her best Tim Cappello impersonation.

I would highly recommend anything by N. K. Jemisin. The Broken Earth trilogy was my introduction to her and the worldbuilding was some of the best I have ever read. "How Long 'Till Black Future Month?" a great short story collection if you don't want to commit to a series. nkjemisin.com

Finished E. E. Doc Smith's Lensman books. One of those series I've been meaning to read since... forever. Definitely interesting from a historical standpoint of the space opera. Maybe I'll finally finish Michael Moorcock's Elric of Melniboné series. Only read a couple of the books.

LB's bored with Valheim. He wishes I'd play something els e.

Squeakers and LB have been trying to figure out their dynamic since the death of Otis.

I've been saying it for a while (at least since donnie's first term) that there needs to be a new party formed from the ashes of the two main parties. I thought I had read there were some talks about this, but it never gained traction. I'd say after last night maybe needs revisiting?

We shouldn't be surprised at how President Zelenskyy was treated today. This is coming from the same people that betrayed US capital police when they pardoned Jan 6th rioters.

Just answered my cell, because at work... as soon as I gave my usual greeting was responded to by an automated voice that just said, "goodbye" and now I am worried. The voice sounded eerily like google assistant. It must've finally realized I've been de-googling my life.

Well... just shut down my Amazon account. Since Bezos is all about "personal liberties" now, I am using mine. Still have a lot more "cleaning house" to do, but I guess it has to be done.

Goodbye Otis. You were a great snuggler and had the best purr.

"The Iron Heel", by Jack London. Pretty sure this is the MAGA playbook. Or at the very least they took the wrong lessons from it (or the right ones, depending on your perspective). www.gutenberg.org/files/1164/1...
