Reference libraries don't let you take the books home! I worked summers/weekends through High School in the reference section of my town's local library.

There ya go! The stand-alone CVS' are likewise much smaller and need exactly that level of resourcefulness.

💯 in the past when I've had to go to the CVS inside of Target, I do not pass Go I proceed directly to their sporting goods aisle where I do three sets with one of theirs before going home to do more sets with mine.

For those followers of Scalzi who are also on Team Sore Arm, I have found that doing a few sets of lateral raises (I use a 5lb dumbbell) as soon as possible afterwards helps lessen that.

I'm on team Strong Fatigue apparently, so I learned to get whatever shots I was getting on Friday afternoon. That way I can do All The Sleeping over the weekend.

Same here. I got Prevnar alongside Shingrix #1 and TDAP alongside Shingrix#2.

I recently learned that TDAP is supposed to be every ten years, unlike the others which are one(or two)-and-done.

Some farms use white tarps instead of clear to machine-wrap their hay bales and they look for all the world like giant marshmallows.

Aren't Ray-Ban and Oakley both owned by Luxottica?

From what I've seen since, this was ICE attempting to gain access to the stadium grounds and the Dodgers telling THEM to F off.

I'm not tossing my Instant Pot because they already have my money from when I got it years ago, but I sure as hell won't be buying anything new from them.

Yes! It's called TDAP (it includes tetanus and diptheria) and it needs boosting every ten years, unlike other vaccines that are one (or two)-and-done.

Click through for the "local news" (FL) clip with one VERY brave meteorologist speaking out. Weather balloons are what gather that data and they've been down by 17% for months now. This is going to be a very scary hurricane season.

I thought there was a legal limit to how long he could stay without having had Congressional approval/appointment. I think he's simply hit that limit and they're all just trying to make it look like it's his choice. The damage has been done, though: all the back doors are in place.

I use Castbox and it's pretty good about things. There's both iOS and Android!

My understanding is: Alt-NPS is itself a coalition with hundreds of members, which vets internally but is too large for the Alt team to keep up with vs. the Alt accounts that have only a handful.

I was watching old episodes of *Inspector Lewis* and kept getting startled thinking he was calling his boss "Mum"...turns out it was his accent and he was really saying "ma'am." 🤪

They weren't MAGA hats except for one off to the side! The rest were red with white lettering that said things like "Make America Smart Again" and "Make Lying Wrong Again." He was asking which would we rather wear.

Cartridges always seem to start skipping for me when they're only half used no matter the pen, so I've taken to using bottled. This was an older bottle of ink I was trying to finish up but it didn't then skip when I went back to the Safari. I've since gotten new ink but haven't tried R2D2 again.

I have the R2D2 Schaffer but it kept skipping so I stopped using it. Maybe it was my ink?
