I'm nerdy, left wing and unapologetic for having empathy for my fellow humans. I'm here to spread love, memes and an utter disdain for anyone who tries to take happiness from others. KushanTheCat on the old place.

In fairness, this post probably burns more computing power than it took to land apollo 11 on the moon.

Don't tell me this game wasn't MADE for OLED displays, looked incredible, even when I got blinded by the end of level goal.

The picture is at least 5 years old so I'm going to say it's real: www.reddit.com/r/cats/comme...

The Doctaaahhh.

I think they're still cycling developers but you're right there's more overlap than before. We had MW3 directly after MW3 previously. I actually don't mind CoD but they really could do with leaving it a couple of years between major releases and let them add content via the seasons.

Not sure how I feel now that we're calling games palworld clones, given it's a clone itself.

It is!

CoD has been a yearly franchise for nearly 2 decades now.

Highlight of the show for me!

FF16 has genuinely been my favourite in the series this side of the millennium and I'm thrilled more people will get to play it.

Where's my perfect dark, guys!? Though I'll concede that clockwork revolution looks absolutely stunning.

It's not an announcement, it's something they've had for years and it's ultimately a good thing for players.

This is absolutely the kind of shit we're here for.

I'm not sure if you've ever made a video on it or done an interview or something previously, but I'd love to know more about your passion for retro stuff - where did it come from? When was the first time something from the 80's clicked for you? Tell us more about YOU, you're just as interesting!

Ahem, it's spelled _fleg_

I absolutely love your work!

I played more BO6 than I've played any previous CoD but this season has genuinely made me quit. Theres a lot of issues with the way they're monetising the game and at this point the greed has just spoiled it for me.

Wasn't me but could have been!

Yeah you really should lose the accent. And dye your hair. And become a man. That way you'll be like all the other YouTubers out there. We don't want originality, we want the same thing over and over.

Fiiine, I'll be the devil's advocate. Pissing in the sink uses much less water than flushing and is less prone to misses/sprays.

But if you run a media server like Plex, it's the same catalogue you own on DVD in one place.

You're definitely a lot of fun to hang out with, so they at least add and possibly multiply.

Genuinely useful info!

It might be worth looking at an alternative app store like f-droid (which is only open source stuff). There's a lot less of everything (including apps), but they're generally all useful.

Genuinely thought your name was Jon lol

Yeah and every single provider of AI tech will have looked at that very closely to beg, borrow and steal their ideas. So which is it, is it prohibitively expensive or not?
comment in response to post
Sure, CEOs will make a tonne of money from it. But that amount of investment doesn't come from thin air, shareholders aren't just purses for the CEO. It's definitely a bubble, but when it pops there'll be winners and losers. My gut is Google will be the overall winner.
comment in response to post
So why are so many companies throwing silly money at it? They can't all be wrong, can they? I think you're vastly underestimating the impact this stuff will have. Dismissing it is not a good Idea.
comment in response to post
I'm not sure I understand your point, Google's investments cover more than just this specific usage of the tech and there's multiple ways to monitise that - the sub I mentioned is simply the lowest barrier to entry for anyone to use it.
comment in response to post
The technology exists today, that's why the video exists. It isn't prohibitively expensive, even Google's "Ultra" tier is $250/month - far cheaper than even a single min wage employee. The technology will improve year after year too - compare this to the original Will Smith eating spaghetti.

I think Nvidia feels they are just so much further ahead of the competition that basically won't happen. Even when AMD is competitive at a price point, people still opt for Nvidia.

I love that the Conservative's take on this is "this will make the UK a rule taker". Well yeah, if we wanted to have a say in the rules, we shouldn't have bloody left!

All I read was "in a world filled with cunts, I'm not one of them" 😂

Do we just collectively accept that Jeff does nerdy shit and we don't question it? 😂

Really? That'd be a cool thing to track, I assume over a (very) long time.

My first reaction was "wait, why do you need a GPS antenna on a building? Surely the building doesn't move?!" Then I remembered that GPS is essentially a very fancy time keeping system.

A 'classic model' with 'one or two dints' just means it's got character and a few good road stories, right? Better than something straight off the production line with no personality.
comment in response to post
We have an EV, I'm all for the EV future and think they're great but let me say it loud and clear: FUCK THAT NOISE. Paying a sub just to be able to charge your car in a slightly more convenient way is utterly dumb.

This will be a huge game changer for me! I'm glad progress is being made.

I would also like an explanation 😅
