I’ve read a few books that have ‘fanboyed’ the SS in places - it definitely devalued the rest of the author’s work for me. Research needs to address it all before winnowing the chaff or something is likely to get missed or be biased in a different way.

We got a bit of snow last night before it washed away but enough to confuse our spaniel - he’s easily confused. However today was so wet the highlight was a coffee shop expedition where he accumulated fuss and attention and biscuits.🐶

I wavered but decided I had better paint the Japanese and 14th Army I had rather than buy more. Not to mention the 1941-3 Indian Army in KD …

I’m bad enough doing French SYW cavalry in 10mm (and I am putting off SYW cavalry in 18mm till next year) - I am sure I couldn’t get 28mm that good.
