I'm thinking about drawing a mascot for TypeScript, but I find Lisp's mascot hard to beat. No way I can reach that level of genious.

Errors as return values is great an a lot of developers are starting to realise that in TypeScript, but is there any mature library to help us out with this without trying to shove the entire functional programming nomenclature down our throats?

There's so much to love about TypeScript, but the one thing that receives no love from me is the fact that there's no sure way for us to prevent "extra parameters". In this case, the "name" property exists at runtime in the return of `getAll()` but the compiler thinks there's only an `id` attribute.
