I feel bad as a German that we give both names.
And for reasons I would recommend to compare it to GeStaPo. It's more fitting in multiple ways. StaSi (aka MfS) is more like a bad mix of NSA / CIA, ICE, Homeland Security and a bit of FBI.
Good they are gone. I hope the get company soon.

Court and jail. The sooner the better.
This includes agents. Everyone that did more than what he couldn't deny without harm for himself. And from a German experience: That's quite a lot if them.
Also, dismantle the organizations most involved.

This is not justice. I understand the impulse, but this isn't much better than Trump.

And they should (usually) be sentenced guilty just like in Nuremberg.
Just like Hitler, Goering, Goebbels, Himmler who were no monsters who can't do better. They were human beings and they were guilty of crimes against humanity.
I hope there will be justice. The sooner the better!

From my experience: Militia ior police without food, drinks and rest are highly dangerous as they are easily triggered and have trouble to stay focused. It can be bad planning or even intentionally. Anyway it's dangerous.

Not at all.
But it's done by human beings. Not some demons or outsiders. They are part of the country. Of society. Germans know what this means. Don't fall for it. They are humans. Like us.
As are the children they threaten. And as humans our solidarity should always be with the victims!

Don't.
They are human beings.
They have human dignity.
And a lot of people can be change to act like this. They do wrong but they are humans. And this means they are able to understand. They most likely can feel guilt. That's why peaceful resistance often works in the first place.

That's not your fault.
If it is legal (which I doubt) it's everyone's responsibility to resist as much as possible and get the laws changed as soon as possible.
But seeing what happened it obviously is not legal. They would not hide IDs and lie if it were.

Exactly this.
It doesn't help if the Marines leave in 2 weeks and there's a deal. If this happens Trump won. He showed everyone the military is loyal even to this point and that even the governor of the biggest state can't stop him from taking even it's own guard.
If there's no solidarity now...

Oh, I am totally sure he does. This is how fascism works. Backing people without ordering it. No responsibility. Just protective talk to people that will and want to do the dirty work. This gives him the superior authority if 2 of his dogs get in each other's way.

Exactly.
Don't be fooled. Fascism is not good for red states neither. You may feel it later, but it hurts everyone.
You need to fight for the freedom. Not just your's but your political enemies, too. Freedom is always just the freedom of the others.

And should be better training on stress resistance and how to handle situations. Police isn't some random security guy at the supermarket entrance.

Definitely not.
Even if it would be large scale and violent. Even then this is the wrong law. It's obviously for large scale emergencies like earthquake, tsunami, floods. Of trans state impact.

Even as a non US citizen this is clearly only half right. The president can nationalize them if there's a national crisis.
Apart from that it is every politicians duty to protect their people and the constitution. Both collide with handing control over.

I can tell you.
I am a German.
It's the same rule that made Hitler the "Fuehrer and chancelor of the Reich". The self announcement of existential crisis and being the savior of the nation.
Fascist only command others to follow the law. They don't. They just act as if. Back then just as now.

There is no national emergency.
The @governor.ca.gov has not only the right but the duty to reject this unlawful order. This is likely the last chance (apart from maybe a coup d'etat) for the established order to keep going. Just because there's a law doesn't mean it applies.

@governor.ca.gov can learn from Germany's history. Not the 1930s but earlier tries. It is possible to deny. It doesn't matter if the president has the right under circumstances that are clearly not met.
If he denies the order the Guard will stay under local control. One GeStaPo was already too much!

Frieden kommt danach

I agree though to be honest unlike trans people care religious circumcision inddeed should be illegal. It's injuring a kid without medical need and doing irreversible damage.
