I sat down on a really low ledge after leg day, and now I don't think there's a dignified way for me to stand up.

Exactly.

Street recapitalizations are expensive on a per km basis, I'm discovering.

A common online interaction in my town is: People complain about speeding in their neighborhood I suggest traffic calming The residents become apoplectic that *they* might also have to slow down

Is there a good line list of Canadian bike infrastructure projects (skewing more recent) along with their cost? I'm using www.tcat.ca/wp-content/u... But it's a decade old and most of the projects older. I'm essentially trying to sanity check Halifax's bike network costs.

I appreciate Sara noting how car dependent infrastructure is inequitable and isolating for disabled people who can't drive. It also aligns nicely with this point in the screenshot. Some people may still need to drive, and that's okay, but what we must do is give people safer alternatives.

pretty incredible that some cities are building as much per capita in their downtowns as the suburbs of texas, florida, and arizona. seattle and atlanta lets gooooo

Alt headline: Child killed by driver and unsafe road design in Bedford.

This article is great because it almost exclusively uses Andy Fillmore's work pre-2025 to slap around Andy Fillmore's "work" in 2025.

When it comes to resisting Trump's bullying in court, the Constitution gives state governments some high cards that the rest of us don't have. If the president tries to force a showdown with California by cutting off its federal funding, don't assume he'll come out on top. My new Cato post
