For all our many, many faults, we are a country with a deep history of profound and successful popular resistance to white supremacy, authoritarianism, and greed. What is happening right now is happening because that resistance has been SO successful, and scared the shit out of forces of empire.

Just because Hegseth writes a racist lie in a book and you're reporting on it does not mean you have to treat it as though it might be true out of fear of accusations of "woke" or "biased." B/c then you're just saying maybe that baldly racist lie holds water. It's a strategy. Stop getting rolled.
