If Biden got into an unhinged flame war with Ron Klain, do you think for a *second* that Republicans and Fox News would tell their base to ignore that shit?
FUCK NO.
They’d rail about it 24/7 all the way to Benghazi.
There’s blood in the water. Attack. Attack. Attack.

Look at the difference between NorCal and SoCal.
In the Bay, out of the 11 Senators repping urban areas, 8 voted yes.
In LA County, out of 13 Senators only 4 voted yes.
The LA delegation is killing housing bills.

I went to the lobby day yesterday and this wasn't one of the ones any of us really pushed. The Wicks and Weiner bills were the focus, at least in my group.

Have to hand it to Weiner, it'd be tough to quietly sit through these senators' faux-concerns and not bang your face against the table

"I do just want to say: I think what fuels segregation is when we have the land use patterns around some of our transit stations that we have now. If the only way you can live near a BART station is to buy a two million dollar home, that is segregation." - @scottwiener.bsky.social

"Texas and Florida are eating our lunch when it comes to building housing people can afford. It shouldn't be the case that you have to go to Texas or Florida to find a home you can afford. We should build housing here." - @scottwiener.bsky.social
