USB 2.0 uses two wires for data (with opposite polarities) exactly to cancel out interference.

tbh this is why I preferred Pebble smartwatches... the founders were from Waterloo, Canada where it's cold in the winter, and their watches never had touch screens (imagine using a tiny screen with gloves)
Meanwhile, every smartwatch from a California company has a touchscreen as primary input...
