No. WOTL added additional story beats, 2 characters (FF12 Balthier and FFTA2’s Luso), and two new jobs. The base story is the same, just this isn’t really a “definitive” edition of FFT as we hoped it would.
In comparison, FemC had entire new dialogue and mechanics vs the Male MC

Like I thought the two jobs were great additions (and personally, dark knight fits Ramza like a glove) along with the voiced cutscenes.

Part of me expected some retcon due to the fact the original team was not involved, but I also hoped entire features were not removed.
I think that coulda been solved by instead of including the OG FFT with the enhanced version, is maybe include the WOTL edition with the enhanced base game? Idk

Not being too different, but it still was the definitive addition, that elevated the experience of the base game. From the interview, they’re wholly focusing on the OG story without the additions of the content from WOTL and adding dialogue between Ramza and the cast.
