Currently in the waiting room at urgent care. Some great Maine accents in here today. God do I love a real Maine accent.

Wait @hallie9000.bsky.social what is this???

I wish more first person games had an over the shoulder camera option. I miss out on so many good games because first person makes me queasy.

Proud of my governor today! She’s not perfect but she stood up to the bully. Thank you Janet Mills!

Public comment is now open for passport gender marker changes. You can go here to go to each of the three proposed passport rules, and submit comment. My suggestion: be unique, argue for trans-inclusive policies, against the constitutionality of the changes, etc. www.reddit.com/r/Passports/...

Was feeling crafty today. Did I go into the stash supplies I’ve bought for any of the hobbies I already tried? Knitting? Crochet? Zen tangles? No of course not. Decided I must buy all supplies needed to learn how to watercolor, of course.

🧵"So this is how liberty dies..." Trump’s first 3 weeks have been a relentless flood of actions. It's incredibly hard to keep up. I’ve gone through 69 actions & mapped out the pattern - showing how they fall within 5 broad domains consistent with authoritarian states 1/9

It's a good day to download your Social Security Statement and order a replacement Social Security Card if you've misplaced yours. www.ssa.gov

Where are you all finding your small joys to keep going these days?

You were taught that educated, single, child-free women are unwanted and pathetic because a woman who is unmanageable through attachment and enraged at the exploitation all around her is a very dangerous thing to an institution that needs to manage and exploit her in order to survive.

Good morning, team! ☀️ As the sprinter runs out of steam, the runner trained in long distance hits their stride. Steady, strong and calm - this is the cadence and the heartbeat of the Resistance. We're seeing this play out now.

The best thing you can do whenever you enjoy something is NEVER interact with the fandom of it.

Injecting a little cute into your timeline.

A couple years ago, I was driving south, back home through the miles of northern Maine wilderness at twilight. Something possessed me to ask for a sign from nature. Shortly after I saw a bald eagle in the median eating the roadkill corpse of a deer. Wonder if that means anything.

ICE is operating on the subways. Be aware.

Ok not to be selfish but I live in *Maine* we have one Costco in the whole state. Where exactly am I supposed to shop?

Doing a full replay through Horizon Zero Dawn. Some of the mechanics are clunky and were definitely better in HFW but it’s still just a really good game. And the remaster is beeeeeeeutiful.

I’ve decided it’s pretty silly to be making goals and resolutions during the Long Dark. I’m going to do mine at the Equinox when things start to come alive again. Winter is for rest and comfort.

When you tell someone you live in Maine they almost always have a story about it. I like that. I like it here.

Reading fantasy is pretty much diases all the way down, huh?

I am so sad that this gloomy rain is melting all our Christmas snow.

Decided to read a book I was really skeptical of because many people recommended it. First page: “here is some blatant fatphobia.” Thanks, Libby, you can have this one back early.

DerbySky what are your favorite drills to work on offense?

In 2025 I’m going to write a sapphic holiday romance called The Bimbo Who Ruined Chrimbo.

Visiting mom in her skilled nursing facility. The people working here should be making more money than a CEO. I swear.

I just hit 100 books read this year! Credit in large part the last month or so to all the cute little Christmas romance novellas on Audible.
