The two "present" votes were Green himself, and Shomari Figures, who had this explanation (and probably was one of the reps who sang with Green?)

Anyways, consider getting mmr and chickenpox boosters, or getting titered to see if your immunity's still good. My childhood chickenpox vax had worn off when I checked a few years ago!

An underrated skill that ambitious but inexperienced people lack, when you have a brilliant shower thought to disrupt whatever, CHECK IF SOMEONE'S ALREADY TRIED IT. Goes hand in hand with internalizing 1. the world is complicated 2. you are not a genius 3. other people are not stupid

Going straight from school to successful startup founder without ever holding a normal job is an incredible brain trip It's normal to be an excited arrogant idealistic puppy at 20! But then if you spend the next decade on a runaway train of hype and money, you'll be an alien at 30

Marginalized tech people are a little less prone to this kind of arrogance, probably because bias and discrimination are no-easy-solutions problems. Harder to grow up without learning that complicated things are not simple and cows are not spherical.

This complaint also applies to people who should be experienced enough to know better but don't. Especially if they're butting into other fields and declaring that the experts in that field are ignoring an "obvious" solution (they're not)

"Why hasn't anyone done this simple and obvious fix? Everyone else is too blinded by process to see it, but I, clear-eyed genius, will solve everything!" No, you've just never experienced complex problems before, because you are a child.
