Millions see no solution within their or their children's lifetimes to an unstoppable, rapid, intolerably cruel downward spiral driven by a few gangsters with godlike wealth. Hoping to turn terror back on the monsters by killing them one by one or in bunches is a logical human response, wrong or not

This. This is what is missing out of a lot of these comments. People wanting to say "find another way" to hold him accountable. How? That mechanism doesn't exist and with the politics of today people have no hope in sight of it ever existing. That hopelessness will drive violence.
