When AOC and Adam Kinzinger are both furious at Chuck Schumer, for the exact same reason, maybe you need to give up the idea this is just a backlash coming from far left activists.

A YES on cloture is a YES for the bill. Do not let anyone play games with you.

NOW: Almost 100 people are outside the home of @schumer.senate.gov calling on him to vote NO on cloture and NO on the disastrous Trump-Musk budget

CALLS ARE WORKING - it has bought us precious time, but we NEED to keep the pressure up. Tomorrow is the cloture vote. KEEP CALLING: (202) 224-3121 ☎️☎️☎️ Tell your Dem Senator to vote NO on Cloture and NO on the Republican spending bill. Do NOT assume your Senator will be good on this. Trust me.

I think some in the Senate have convinced themselves that the backlash to folding will be limited to “the left” and therefore ignorable. Those people are deeply and profoundly misreading the moment and the stakes. Virtually every swing district House Dem walked the plank to vote NO for a reason.

@aoc.bsky.social for Senate. Schumer’s time is up.

-The Question: How the hell did we get here? -The Answer: Citizens United.

State AGs are looking for federal workers who have just been illegally fired to stand as litigants in a new lawsuit trying to freeze further action by DOGE. DM me if that’s you and you’re interested and you’re live in one of the following states: NM, AZ, CA, CT, MD, MI, MN, NV, OR, WA, RI, or VT.

Not exaggerating when I say that the path back is going to be built on people in positions of influence regaining their sense of self-respect. www.nytimes.com/live/2025/02...

‘noblesse oblige’ i whisper to the raccoons as they gather beneath my deck for the weekly pizza party

Here I am, a factory worker enjoying his lunch in the North End of Boston on January 15, 1919. I’ve survived the influenza pandemic, I’m feeling good about life, and I’ve never been more confident I will not be swallowed up by a flood of liquid sugarcane extract

HANG IN THERE BABY!! #art

Spent the morning shoveling snow with my kid. We talked about how--because the world is increasingly stupid, unkind, and selfish--we need to work hard at being curious, kind, and helpful to others. Even if we're just starting with shoveling the walk for our community.

I will never, ever get over this.

I have a sports metaphor story for this! I have a younger brother who was a very competitive baseball player as a kid. Was on all the local travel & developmental squads. One of his coaches had a very interesting and counterintuitive (to me) philosophy of the game, as it was played at that level.

Imma need some of you to think about thriving out of spite. I had big plans for 2025 and I’m definitely not gonna pre-derail them for likes of Elin and Tromp. I’m getting more involved. Loving harder. Writing hornier. Having more fun. I’m gonna be so kind to my neighbors, bitch.

Woke up this morning remembering how, after Kerry's 2004 loss to W, the Democratic party and the press decided it was abortion's fault. When I tell you that this is not an exaggerated memory:

Paris vows to ban parking near its 40,000 crosswalks, a measure for better visibility also known as daylighting, by the end of 2025. NYC aims to daylight 1,000 intersection corners each year, a rate at which it would take about 40 years to implement citywide. www.leparisien.fr/paris-75/par...

Here’s my pitch: the Democrats should take a few million dollars and fund free childcare centers and bowling nights in swing districts resnikoff.beehiiv.com/p/the-party-...
