This is where I live, and it's all blue, as is the entire Chicago MSA. If it's happening here, God help us all.

Thanks. They're all special babies.❤️

He's as big as our three girls combined! The pups came with to adopt him and bring him home. They're doing great together.

Quinn's such a lovey boy. He's been terrific with our girls.

Happiest of birthdays to you, Karen, the velvet voiced sunshine of our Bluesky. 🎤🎂🥂

It's a tough road to hoe. Hopefully they make a well informed decision. (I'm also the type to talk pros and cons about this and military service to anyone considering).

I'd ask to borrow that dress, but I could never make it look as good as you do!

Cute. Are you in WA? I have some small dog clothes if you need warm gear for her. Ours outgrew so much!

We have a Bugg (Boston Pugg Mix) and she's the sweetest, most loving little girl. You made a great choice, Dad. 💗

She's absolutely perfect!

I'd watch that miniseries.

Having a huge bed makes a real difference. We have our own space to roll around without disturbing each other's sleep, our old dog fits by our feet, and we still feel close.

My cousin lives there, and even coming from Chicago, I find the amount of violent crime there to be very disturbing.

Absinthe is most definitely NOT that color, lol.

Aww, well you're a cutie, too! I'm just glad you all made it through STL safely.

So cute.

When I ask the complete strangers seated next to me on planes, they act like it's not completely normal. They must be against research.

Yes, get the bed, and also have a wedding that's exactly what YOU want, no one else.

Excellent effort!

That's really the key, isn't it?

I'm so grateful for your survival, your already immense impact on the world, and the beautiful family you're raising. Tell your stories sooner than later. You have a true gift, and I hope part of your story will be raising up other young doctors in a like manner.

I've had a handful of crazy cake and ice cream binges in my life, but they're a rarity, and usually turn me off of it for a long while after. Fried foods were never my weakness. You set a good example for him! I hope he appreciated it!

I really like it as an accent, just a little added to lemonade or tea is quite nice.

Oh gosh, I knew that. I'm sorry! Yes, very high proof. I took @drgoodknight.bsky.social to a special theatre event where they were serving our brand, and the cocktail Waitress asked if I wanted it neat. I laughed, thought she was kidding! You NEVER take absinthe straight! That's dangerous!
comment in response to post
It was. He's actually the scientist responsible for bringing absinthe back from the ban. He proved it wasn't dangerous, recreated the finest 19th century absinthe, and got the laws changed in the EU and America. Brilliant, super interesting guy.

When I went to college everyone thought my diet was weird, too. I also met people who had been raised on poor nutrition, and was surprised by that. I assumed if healthy food was affordable, people would feed their kids a balanced diet. There's really a lack of nutritional knowledge.

Real absinthe is wonderful, but often misserved. Potent stuff. I cook with it and make cocktails. I worked with a master distiller for several years. Hugging people just makes you a super friendly American, lol.

I have been a ridiculously healthy eater most of my life. Living with someone who keeps snacks in the house has been a real adjustment for me. This was a pretty chaotic start to my day, lol.

I remember the rent would have been $6k+, so even back in the 90's it was a completely unrealistic lifestyle.

Me too, girlfriend. At this age I was sure I'd have a small staff to handle all this.

You do you. You're better at it than anyone else. 💓
